568 mL stovepipe from the LCBO; dated May 3 2024 and served slightly chilled. This review is based on notes taken in late summer 2024 - and with this, ten months later, I'm finally caught up on my backlog.

Pours a cloudy golden-yellow colour, kicking up two inches of puffy, soapy white head that slowly dissipates over the next five-plus minutes. A thick curtain of lace is drawn around the glass, with a frothy collar and cap holding their position - looks good to me. The aroma is a blend of citrus and tropical fruit: orange, pineapple, muskmelon and mango, with hints of wheaty, doughy malts, floral hops and very faint ethanol.

Tastes pretty good, and the 9% is very well-integrated. Flavours of pineapple juice, orange juice and melon are dominant, flanked by notes of wheaty malts, green mango and lychee. Pineapple, mango and floral hops close out the sip, with orange juice, coconut and boozy sweetness trailing into the aftertaste; relatively low bitterness. Nearing full-bodied, with assertive carbonation that prickles the palate throughout each sip, remaining active late into the session. Good drinkability for what it is; finishing this can won't be a problem, but an ordinary tallboy would've sufficed.

Final Grade: 3.96, a B+. Beau's' Double Juiced AF is a solid DIPA, with the added orange and pineapple flavour working as well as could be hoped. My biggest gripe concerns the format: while I believe that stovepipes are woefully underutilized by Canadian (and more specifically, most Ontario) breweries, imperial IPAs don't strike me as the ideal candidate for this packaging size. It's not a big deal or anything - I'd still buy this beer again, regardless of format - I'm just saying, maybe save these for Lug Tread and the original Juiced AF. After all, a fella's gotta drink responsibly, right?

568ml can from the LCBO for $4.95 CDN.

Appearance - Hazy yellowy gold brew with a finger of fairly quickly receding head. Small soapy collar remains.

Smell - Big and sweet tropical notes with pineapple and lychee leading the way. Melon and cantaloupe mixed in too. Orange muddled in as well.

Taste - Fairly sweet as far as IPA's go, orange and pineapple most pronounced with a hint of cantaloupe and lychee. Some bitterness mid-late sip, booze held in check as well. Some mango to close. Indeterminate malt is steady in the background.

Mouthfeel - Low carbonation, rather juicy and pretty easy to crush. The booze is hidden well enough, but there is some warmth in the back of the throat that alerts you that Double Juiced AF isn't messing around.

Overall - A pretty decent DIPA that is tasty and well constructed. Due to the higher ABV and the closeness in which the booze could take over, this isn't as drinkable as the original Juiced AF. With that said it's pretty solid and wouldn't hesitate to enjoy again.

I wasn’t expecting such fruitiness which I tend to dislike in a beer but this one grew on me quickly. It’s not as cloying as many beers with a high AVB.

Pours cloudy orange with a frothy, everlasting head. Citrusy hops and plenty of cookie dough malts in the aroma. The taste is of orange creamsicles, lemon, grapefruit, vanilla and fresh bread. The mouthfeel is full bodied with medium carbonation. Medium bitterness and lingering orange and malt sweetness in the finish. The high ABV is hidden well.

A nice malt-centric DIPA. Worth a try if you don't like super bitter hop bombs.
