Tasted at the 2003 Oregon Brewers Fest. Medium gold color. Large head. Aroma is touches of barnyard, leather and must. A medium bodied biere de garde. Malts are nutty and sweet. Hops are slightly spicy. A mild nutty, musty flavor predominates. Nice. Very drinkable, especially on a hot summer day. Well balanced. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly bitter.

This was one of the biggest surprises for me at the OBF this year. I've had a number of Rock Bottom beers in the past, and though they were good, they weren't "write home to momma" good.
The Thermidor was a rich, deep golden hue which held the light surprisingly well in a plastic mug. A nice sustaining lace capped the beer (probably how the light got in..) and gave off a pleasant orchard-like aroma. The taste was almost like dipping an apple into beer then eating the slice. It was a very clean flavor with slight hints of spices with the malt. Definitely imparted a full, happy mouth feeling, and was amazingly satisfying.

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
