Innocuous, if forgettable, pilsner-style beer. The pressure is on to live up to the pilsner name, Gordon! This was passable, but just so. There’s much, much better and also plenty worse.

Smell of wheat
Clear golden color
Medium-light mouthfeel
Sweet malt, wheat taste, easy drinking
Overall good for a pilsner. With a name of unfiltered I had expected a cloudy beer so not sure what that is all about.

Served on tap at the Gordon Biersch in Detroit Metro. Pils glass, golden color with a slight chill haze. A finger of white soapy foam that leaves spotty lacing. Aroma is is honey and biscuit with herbal hop notes. Flavor follows, with big bready maltiness followed by a crisp peppery bite on the finish. Clean.

From the back label: "BEST CONSUMED BEFORE 07/25/18 12:02"
Appearance: It has pretty good clarity through the light gold body. There is only a slight haze. It has a very large fluffy white head that has very good retention. It leaves spotty lacing on the glass.
Aroma: There is a slight bit of honey and a faint mowed grass scent.
Taste: It has a very nice malt flavor that has just a touch of sweetness.
Mouthfeel: There is very little bitterness in the beer while drinking it but as soon as each sip is over there is a nice lingering bitterness. The beer is light bodied with an off-dry finish. It feels clean.
Overall: It's a pretty good Pilsner with some decent flavor. It's interesting enough to make for a pleasent beer to drink but the hops never taste especially fresh and the aroma is quite dull. Although it may sound like a bad beer from that description it is actually nice. The beer drinks cleanly which gives it this refreshing quality. It has a nice bitter finish which contrasts to the otherwise sweet malt flavor that is present at the beginning and middle of each sip. It's a beer worth drinking and I would happily drink more but it's not one I'm likely to pick up often.
