Bottle. A rather optimistic BBE of 02/20.
Pours gold, good head with great retention.
This was drunk in a taste off with a couple of cheapo German offering from Aldi - Their 4.7% Steinhauser and 4.8% Rheinbacher pils. WEST 4 won by a hair
light malts, light hops on nose.
taste is similar but with a slight lactic tang in comparison to those drunk at the same time, and some bitterness but again fairly light. A very easy to drink beer, at 4% aimed squarely at the Big T.

On-tap at The Auld Toll Tavern, Grangemouth, Scotland
A: The beer is crystal clear yellow in color and has a moderate amount of visible carbonation. It poured with a quarter finger high white head that died down, leaving a narrow collar around the edge of the glass and some lacing down the sides.
S: Light aromas of sweet malts are present in the nose.
T: The taste follows the smell and has some flavors of sweet malts (possibly corn) along with notes of pale malts and a light amount of bitterness.
M: It feels a bit shy of being medium-bodied on the palate and is quite clean with a moderate amount of carbonation. It also feels a bit smooth.
O: This beer goes down very easily and seems like a honest lager.
Serving type: on-tap

Golden with a clear body and a small amount of white lacing in lieu of a proper head. 3.5
Light with some basic but nice lager malts and a touch of grassy hops. There is some corn but not a lot else other than some mild skunk right at the end.
Light lager malts along with some citrus and grassy notes. There is some grain and corn with hints of water and bread although again there isn't too much going on really.
Light medium in body and with carbonation just on the high side of medium. There is a lively feel to the beer that finishes with a smooth dryness and a crisp end.
A fairly basic lager but not necessarily a bad one, it just seems slightly watered down when compared to the breweries main lager & it's not as exciting either.
