Another year round favorite, First Street Wheat is an unfiltered wheat beer bursting with unique flavors. You may pick up hints of clove, banana and even a little vanilla. Cloudier than our other beers because it is unfiltered, our First Street Wheat's low bitterness level allows all its flavors to shine.

Cloudy hazy yellow-orange in color, decent white head that doesn't last long, not much lacing either. Not much aroma some wheat and stale bread, bland lemon and wheat flavors, watery and thin mouthfeel, finishes with some sourness, not much going on with this one.

Served on tap at the brewery. Pours a semi hazy straw yellow with a creamy looking head on it. Nose is lemon, some cookie malt, spices (nutmeg and clove). Taste follows suit. Opens up with Some lemon zest that moves to a nice wheat and grainalt bill. In the back some clove and nutmeg show up. Finishes with a nice bubblegum flavor. Pretty solid hefe. Mouth is creamy and full. Really enjoyed this one. If I didn't have to pedal another 10 miles on the Katy Trail I would have ordered another.

A - Poured out a cloudy, golden-orange color with a two-finger, off-white head of bubbly foam. It quickly receded and left no lace.

S - It smelled of banana and clove like a true German hefe. It had a nice wheat aroma, too.

T - Nice spicy yeast and clove flavor with a good wheat backbone.

M - Very crisp, sharp and crackled on the tongue. A light to medium bodied ale.

O - This is a very nice American version of a hefe. Very well done. Another solid brew from Tin Mill.

Pours a semi-hazed apricot with 2 fingers of pearl colored head. Minimal head retention& lacing.

S: Breadyness & phenolic notes

T:Big-time phenolic presence, rubber bands, slight breadyness up front. Slight pear fruittyness as this warms, more pehols & some boozeyness & a touch metallic hops. Finishes fruittyness, phenols & a touch of grainyness

MF: Light bodied, fairly firm carbonation & slight grainyness

Drinks easy enough, a nice try that comes up short

A = Limited head with slight bit of retention. Nice hazy golden color.

S = Welcoming spicy banana but not terribly present. The lack of presence is a trend with this particular brewery.

T = Pretty straight forward hefe although it has a little bit of a hop bite in the front. Banana, clove, spice, yeast but it fades quickly and leaves you wanting more.

M = A little thin for a hefe. I feel like I have a similar review for everyone of their beers.

D = A summer slammer. You could really drink this down and it is very refreshing.

Overall I just want more! It really has some strong characteristics but they just dont step forward enough. It could really be a home run with a little bit of tweaking and filling out.

12 oz. bottle poured into a weizen glass.

Pours a murky golden amber capped by a large frothy white head that fills this 500 mL glass before quickly diminishing. Nice sticky lacing. Steady stream of bubbles rising from the bottom of the glass.

Nose is big on the clove, with a touch of cinnamon, almost musty, and a subtle undercurrent of overripe banana. Grainy bread base, brightened by a touch of lime zest.

Spicier on the palate, overloaded with clove character. There's a bit of cracked pepper and yeasty funk, almost hinting at saison, though this is clearly a hefe. Notes of lemon and lime zest, cracked wheat, and subtle fruit round out the palate.

Light-ish in body, soft and rounded with still a moderate zing. Fruity, but finishes mostly dry. Sprightly carbonated, leaning toward harsh. Perhaps this is purely psychological, but this beer seems clearly more pleasing from a hefeweizen glass than from a shaker pint.

A- Yeasty hazy golden orange with large sticky white head. Very lively carbonation.

A- Wonderful wheaty yeasty smells. Spicy clove, citrusy lemons.

T- Wonderful spicy wheat taste. As it warms the body became a bit less complex. Light apricot tastes.

M- Light to medium bodied with high carbonation.

D- Great beer. I'd gladly drink more of these. I was worried at first that it would be a bland American Hefeweizen, but it had more depth!

Hazy orange, nearly opaque, and a white head on top.

The nose is musty with some banana and spice notes, and dried fruit at is opens up.

The taste has chocolate, faint banana, and holiday spices. It has a lightly tart finish with dried apricot notes as it warms. Active carbonation. Overall, not half bad.

Poured from the bottle a cloudy nectarine color with two fingers of foamy white head.

Aroma of Juicyfruit gum, clove, yeast, and banana.

The taste is a bit thin with banana, clove, Juicyfruit gum, and yeast. Finishes clean.

Lighter bodied and sticky with a light carbonation.

Not a bad Hefe from Tin Mill but a tad thin to compete with the better ones.

Drank this one a while back and never added the review.
Taken from my notes.

A. Slightly cloudy and has darker hues.
S. Interesting nose, I picked up almost like a lettuce smell? Mostly present were spices, herb, fruit... complex... wet wheat.
T. Flavorful, clove, wheat.
M. Medium/medium full body.
D. Not that this beer is heavy, maybe somewhat for this style, and it's not bad at all, but I didn't find myself craving drinking more than one or two in a row. Overall an interesting brew.

Pours a cloudy, maize color. 2/3 inch head of a white color. Great retention and decent lacing. Smells of yeast, citrus (lemon), spice (clove), hint of wheat, and very slight hop. Fits the style of a Hefeweizen. Mouth feel is sharp and crisp with an average carbonation level. Tastes of tart malt, yeast, slight sweet malt, lemon, and clove. Overall, a good blend and body, but a little heavy on that tartness.

A - Pours a cloudy amber color with a huge white, rocky head. Retention is so great that it takes me 10 minutes to get a clear drink on this thing.

S - All the usual suspects are here. Banana, clove, yeast. Nothing unusual.

T - Upfront it is slightly sweet as the banana flavors make their presence. This changes to a more of a fresh bread flavor. It finishes will a little bit of a boozy flavor that was unpleasant.

M - High carbonation and good consistency.

D - On a hot summer day, I could see myself drinking a few of these. However, there are many better hefes readily available.
