Took a break from the Katy Trail and glad I did. Served on tap at the brewery. Pours a brownish orange color with a white ring of a head. Nose is caramel malt and grassy, citric hops. Taste opens up with citrus flavors that are ushered aside by the malt bill of spicy rye and lots of caramel. Next up are the hops that make this an IPA - grapefruit and citric with a little bit of soap flavor. Mouth is medium with good carbonation. Overall, this is a nice rye IPA. I love this style and this one held up with some of the best. I will be looking for bottles of this.
