This is well below average in one of my favorite styles.
While I am in Norway, I'm going to seek out another of their Belgian Styles.
But, my guess is the yeast requires too much time for them to get right and they ought to stick to their knitting of dark beers if they want to brew great beers. (I've had two of their darks; both good.)
But... if they want to introduce "messy" Belgian styles to a culture/cuisine that prefers lagers, then Blondie is a start.

On tap at Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. Hazy deep golden to orange colour, moderate white head. Fairly strong aroma of Belgian ale yeast, fruity and spicy notes. Refreshing flavour, not too sweet. Belgian ale yeast again, more spicy than fruity. The mouthfeel could have been fuller - but then the beer would probably not be 4.5% ...

A: Pours pale, almost strawcolored, slightly hazy. The enormous white head is fluffy. There is a sizzeling sound during the pouring. Somewhat nice lacings.

S: A bit sour, but also with the Belgian smells; yeast and spices. Green apples, or perhaps green apple sezt (if that is possible). Citric notes. Hay and stable lures in the back.

T: The taste holds many things that a Saison would; stable, leather and hay alongside with sourness. There is spices and yeast as well as a malty backbone. Green apples and lemons.

M: Aftertaste is sour and not too short. Body is smooth, medium while the strong carbonation with all small bubbles, doesn't offend anyone.

O: Well, not quite a BPA, considering all the Saison-references, but definitely not a Saison; this is too modest for a Saison. It's like a light version (or a newbie-version of the styles) of a hybrid between a BPA and a Saison.

A- Poured with a thin white head, which slowly receded to a hazy layer, collar, and some touches of lacing. The body is a very hazy golden orange color with faint traces of carbonation trickling up the sides of the glass.

S- The nose is comprised of some crisp crackerlike malt, mild impressions of low alpha hops, some Belgian yeast-like aromatics, and little bits of straw/hay. Nicely balanced nose across the board.

T- The malt and hops coalesce to give you an orange marmalade type of flavor. It starts a little on the sweet side and finishes dry with an echo of mild herbal hops. A touch of fruity esters throughout. As the beer begins to warm-up, some earthy phenolics begin to emerge, most prominently in the finish; earthy like dirt... but somehow non-offensive.

M- A medium body with a tiny bit of texture. It's got a very fine carbonation to it that actually comes-across a little spritzy, yet non-bloating.

D- Quite drinkable... overall a balanced beer that still packs a small punch of aroma and flavor... would definitely have this one again.
