No shortcuts were taken to create this perfect pairing of coffee and beer. Whiskey barrels that once held Yeti Imperial Stout were filled with green coffee beans sourced from Mexico and provided by our favorite local purveyor, Pablo’s Coffee. Once the beans were infused with characteristics of both barrel and Yeti, they were roasted and integrated into the coffee porter you hold in your hand. Cheers!

Canned January 20th 2020.

Pours a really dark brown/black but not pitch black, small head of foam.

Smells of coffee, dark chocolate, whiskey. Seems stronger than 6.5% abv at times.

Medium bodied with rather light carbonation.

A good one.

Coffee taste is nice, dark chocolate and whiskey follow through. Rather strong bitterness from the coffee, whiskey barrel add some sweetness,

I don't drink coffee because while I love the way it smells, I hate how it tastes. This beer tastes how coffee smells :)

3/24/22 Can dated 12/21/21. Bought for DW 50th!

Nose is sweet and coffee. Almost like brown sugar and mineral/saline.

Look is nice color, with no lacing or head.

Taste is nicely sweet, not overly. Coffee certainly comes through. Would not have guessed the coffee beans were in used Yeti Imperial Stout barrels. But after reading this from Brewer, i can taste it.

Leah and i really enjoyed this one!

solid coffee porter. milk chocolate and caramel malty goodness with a decent creamed coffee kicker.
isn't much to look at with a cola brown body and a head that has low retention and doesn't leave any lacing as it fades completely, but then again, I guess it winds up looking like a cuppa joe...hmm.
aroma is sweet and equal parts coffee and cocoa. semi-creamy.
taste is as described above; it's not quite robust, not really on the roasted side either. pretty easy going and creamy.
mouthfeel is medium carbonation and medium bodied. runs creamy with pillowed carbonation, has a non-descript but easy finish, and leaves a bittersweet coffee bean aftertaste.

easy cuppa nighttime joe. well done.

Actually quite surprised its not world class but it was a very tasty coffee beer. Good Deep dark mocha great tan foam. Smell mostly coffee and taste is a good balance of coffee and milk chocolate sweetness. No bitterness or acidic taste smooth throughout. Smooth and easy to quaff back.

I almost went back for a six pack since both the flavor and price was great. Good stuff!

Poured black with a three finger fizzy tan head that dissipated quickly to nothing. No lacing. Only light coffee on the nose. Sweet malt and light coffee flavor. No hop bitterness. Thin body and moderate carbonation. Overall, I am not impressed and surprised this was a lackluster example of a porter. Perhaps I have an off can. I would try it again in the future.

From a can. Poured with a 1" tan foam head and a very dark brown body. Scent has a great coffee with a dash of the whisky barrel coming across nicely. Taste is a bit on the sweeter side with a rich chocolate coming across along with the coffee. Feel is creamy, smooth, and almost silky with a sweet aftertaste.

Poured from 12oz can into a tulip. Canned 1/20/20.

Appearance: body appears totally black, with a thin layer of frothy tan foam atop. Lookin' good.

Smell: quite roasty and astringent, with a little bit of sweetness and a little bit of chocolate character. There is some coffee, too, along with a little bit of a green vegetal character.

Taste: plenty of coffee; the astringency and vegetal effect are more subdued in the flavor. There's still a little sweetness, and there's a bit less chocolate; it's not bad.

Mouthfeel: medium body with a decent carbonation and creaminess.

Overall: this is a good beer, although the flavor dimension is a little bit thin. A little more complexity might help this beer a bit.
