12oz can, I think there is/was a date but it's not visible. Opened 8-25-23.
3 finger tan head on a black Yeti body. Great retention and early clinging lace.
Chocolate, graham cracker, and mint/menthol aroma.
Milk chocolate, roasted and slightly bitter malts + mint.
Medium body, seems a touch thinner than most Yeti's but still a smooth mouthfeel. Semi sweet finish.
Very Good.

Black in color with no light penetration. There’s a quarter inch of creamy brown on top. Moderate, soapy lacing. The aroma is of peppermint and chocolate. I’m tasting peppermint and chocolate. The mouth is thick and sticky.

12 oz can from a Yeti mixed 12 pack. The can is undated but recently purchased. Poured into a Belgian snifter the dark black body raised a short beige head that slowly receded to an enduring thin top coat. The aroma suggests that the flavor may prove to minty for me, but tasting proves otherwise. The flavor is a well balanced mix of additives -- mainly peppermint, chocolate and vanilla -- and the dark, malty beast that is Yeti. The mouthfeel is excellent too: full bodied with lactose enhanced smoothness.

Picked up as part of a mixed 12-pack from The Fresh Market 11-9-22 for $25. No can date; consumed for review 4-26-23.
Neer poured black with a very nice tan head that has some great hang time.
Nose is a hint of roasted malt with a touch of peppermint.
Taste follows the nose with a big roasted malt base that is nicely hopped and finishes with a nice touch of peppermint.
Mouthfeel is medium to large bodied and very smooth.
Overall a Yeti variant that is nicely executed.

The final of the big beer 12 pack I picked up. I was hopeful on this one,
The head grows in time as does the peppermint aroma. Very dark brown body with nice dense tan head. Initial aroma was of dark malt and dark fruit and then the peppermint showed not quite balanced enough to give the impression of mint and chocolate but it hints at it. The balance seems a little better in the flavor and with more complexity of flavors that seems to help. Really a smooth drink- that goes down softly. The peppermint increases the richness of an already rich beer, that might be one drawback. But even with that it goes down easily.
One is enough but a nice seasonal or celebratory beer.

Pours deep, near-black brown. No light passes. The head, though, is a disappointment: It is difficult to create on the initial pour. What appears disappears almost as quickly. Not even rim bubbles remain despite the continue bubbles from the bottom of the glass. Of course, there's no lacing.
The smell is as one would expect--sweet milk chocolate with a stronger peppermint bite. Rich aroma.
A dessert version of an Imperial Stout. A strong emphasis on peppermint with sweeter cocoa background. Fuller body with a muted carbonation level. The finish is minty. I do not pickup on any of the vanilla advertised. Simply put, don't expect much of the Stout here, but this beer provides what it intends to do beautifully.

cool they are doing so many variants of this now, sort of running with the momentum of epics baptist series, even though the original yeti needs nothing, its fun to have some seasonal play. this one is a tad overdone, but it is objectively good, weird choice for an old school italian restaurant to put on tap, but thats where i had it, like who orders this with the clam linguine?! so weird and kind of gross, but such is life. not barrel aged i dont believe, but it doesnt need to be. a great base beer, always has been, i could do without the lactose addition here, but the rest of it i like, peppermint candy-esque, not sure how this element was added, but it sure hits my palate like a candy cane. also chocolate and vanilla in the mix to bring up the dark malt, add a brownie character to this, and smooth out some of the bitterness of the roast, which has always been robust in yeti. i get a coffee note to the nose, dark and milk chocolate both, the lactose and the peppermint together, a little intense on the mint, but rich and festive and desserty. i even like the alcohol coming through, sort of an adult hot chocolate vibe to it, puts me in the holiday spirit. the flavor is delicious too, it all goes together really well, the chocolate is key, fudge-like, the peppermint would be too much without it, heck its still too much, but the chocolate is the bridge that integrates it into the base beer. i breathe hot mint after each sip, and unfortunately it stays with me a little too long, definitely not a main course beer, and its too sweet to be very drinkable. no denying this tastes good, but its squarely in the sweet stout range now, which means one and done most of the time probably. this is about as well done as it could be though, the flavors are festive and authentic and it tastes like peppermint bar without totally running over the original glory of yeti. a little too sweet, a little too much mint, but its the holidays and this is a lot of fun! worth a try if you like peppermint bark!

Canned Oct 28 2021. At 07:40. I checked the date because the wording on the label said, "As the temperature drops ..."
I poured about half of the 1 pint 3.2 ounces into a tulip glass. There was no head. No foam. No lacing. Nice smell, though. A roasty peppermint. "Peppermint" in the name is what drew me to this single among the other Yeti imperial stout singles.
Medium creamy mouthfeel. And I like the peppermint flavor.
It finishes smooth with a little heat.

Mint is not an adjunct you see in Stouts very often, and I’ve somehow ended up with 2 in my fridge at the same time, the other one being Guinness’s version. I’d love to try them side-by-side, but it seems like a bit much for a Monday night. Let’s see how Great Divide does with it
Pours a very dark brown with 2 fingers of of tan head that quickly fades to a thin ring and leaves minimal lacing
This really just smells like mint chocolate chip ice cream, but it’s still honestly pretty good. I’m picking up on aromas of peppermint candy, milk chocolate, sweet cream, fudge, light roast coffee. and a touch of orange zest
The mint really lives on tbe back end of this one, but it’s rather subtle in the grand scheme of things. On the front end of the sip I’m tasting milk chocolate, light roast coffee, sweet vanilla, raisin, light mint, and a touch of caramel. The swallow brings notes of peppermint candy, chocolate fudge, fruity coffee, caramel, and vanilla
A medium full body pairs with gentle carbonation, resulting in a silky beer. Finishes surprisingly dry from the mint but nicely balanced. Stupidly easy drinking for the abv
This one is pretty damn good. Like I said, it drinks very easy, and it’s definitely a unique blend of adjuncts. Good stuff

Great Divide Brewing Co. "Peppermint Bark Yeti"
16 fl. oz. can "CANNED ON: OCT 28 2021 08:19" and sampled on MAR 19 2021.
$9.49 @ Total Wine & More, Cherry Hill, NJ
Notes via stream of consciousness: This is either an easy review or a hard review, let's see. The basics are already there as everyone knows the regular Yeti or can look it up. Great beer! The questions are: Do the added ingredients make it a better or worse beer? Or, do they make it enough of a different beer? So what do we actually have here? - added peppermint chunks, vanilla, and chocolate. I'll assume the peppermint chunks are actually hard sugar candy. That comes through foremost of all the ingredients in both the aroma and flavor. The vanilla adds some sweetness, or at least the suggestion of it, and the chocolate tends to lie towards the back with the rest of the dark and malty Imperial stout base. The mint lends it a nice coolness that contrasts the sweetness, and helps to keep it dry in the finish. Is it a better beer because of the added ingredients? Not at all. It's different, but not better. Is it worse? Well, it's not quite as good as the original. It's different but it's mostly the same. It's more complex in some ways, but at the same time the newer notes cover up some of the notes that were already there. To a certain extent I think they've done a wonderful job in that. There are other versions and I wonder if they're just as good. But let me ask, how good is it? I could take it or leave it. In fact, I might actually prefer the original unadulterated Yeti myself. I wouldn't buy this again. It was nice to try but that's about it so, in fact, I find the "peppermint bark" addition to have hurt the beer.

Poured into a Fremont small snifter. Pours a quite fizzy, very dark mahogany brown, appearing nearly opaque in the glass with a thin khaki head that dissipates to patches with no lacing. Aroma of dark toasted malt, peppermint, cocoa and light coffee. Flavor is dark toasted malt with light char, milk chocolate, light peppermint and light mocha coffee. Medium bodied with light creaminess. Well, not quite what I expected, but pleasant. The malt seems quite subdued and not at all the depth of Yeti or most of its variants and the mouth feel is rather thin. However, once past that, there is a lot to like here. As expected, the flavor balance is great, with the malt that initially tasted mellow still well supporting the cocoa and light coffee flavors. Best of all, the peppermint is just right for my palate; I was expecting and big holiday burst of mint, but instead, it has fine peppermint flavor, but a fine light to moderate balance with the other flavors. Possibly the best use of mint in a stout I've tasted. So a bit of a roller coaster taste-wise, underwhelming at first, but then I liked this better and better as I drank it and appreciated its flavor integration. A best of all the big ABV is hardly noticeable; I had to pace myself to not drink this too fast. I like this even more than I expected from the name. I should trust Great Divide. Yeti has always been a great stout. Not a fan of the 19oz. Cans for big stouts, but managed ok.

Not my favorite Yeti iteration but still nice, the peppermint is in balance with the rest of the stout flavors; underlying roasty notes of coffee and cocoa. Thinner body than I was expecting. Overall, OK-to-good.
