Bevis Maun is drinking a Festival Ale by Burton Bridge Brewery at Port Street Beer House

Aroma is apricot jam and golden syrup. Flavour is gritty bitter malt and brewing sugars

Cask pint at Port Street Beer House. Amber pour with a creamy off-white head. Light malty aroma, brown bread. Taste is malty, toffee, toasty. Cask provides a luscious body for this brew.

Cask at the Number Twenty-2, Darlington, as Burton Bridge Burton Ale, but I assume this is the same beer. Copper colour, creamy off-white head. Malty aroma and flavour, nutty and biscuity notes. The aroma also has some fruity notes. Tolerably well hopped finish.
