Køge 16/10 2019. 50 cl bottle from Kvickly, Vestergade, Køge. Usual Braunstein design in dark Maroon. Makes a point of being State certified Organic.
Pours opaque dark brown with a fairly big light beige head. Settles as 0,5 cm thick layer of foam covering the surface of the beer. Substantial Lacing.
Aroma is intense, sweet and with an bitter edge of coffee. Brown sugar, toffee. Dark chocolate, bitter coffee.
Light carbonation. Medium thick, smooth, soft, silken texture.
Flavor is medium sweet followed and balanced by a medium strong bitterness. Aftertaste is sweet with a strong bitter undercurrent. Lingering.
Fine not too sweet porter with a good balance and a smooth feel.

Bottle, Oliver Twist, Stockholm, Sweden. A pitch black beer with a dark brown head that lasts well. Dark malt smells of espresso roast, black fruit, red grape and dried chocolate. Flavors of black fruit, with some hints of chocolate, roast and tobacco. Especially impressed by the finish which lasts well. Excellent palate, livened by being bottle conditioned and/or unfiltered. I like these strong dry porters from Denmark.

Very dark with mocha soapy lacey head appearance. Medium mouthfeel. Coffee grinds, and smooth porter. Astringent at finish, and tongue tingling. Inbetween a regular and a Baltic.Hoppy, chocolate and mollasses. Roast, in the distant. I liked the hoppiness.
