Golden bubbly body, light head and grassy aroma. Light dry hoppy taste. Feel is dry and a bit grainy but refreshing, a little rough and sweet. Premium(ish) strength. Decent enough for the price. One of the better ones from the Hatherwood range. Good budget lager.

Look: clear golden, heading amber, with a relatively decent head which holds, nice carbonation, looking good.
Smell: fresh and fruity, as described mandarin comes to mind but not inviting enough for my taste. Bland.

Taste: slightly hoppy and quite crisp, reminds me of really diluted orange squash with sparkling water with a hint of hops creating an alright crisp after taste / feel but boring in flavour.

Feel: very fresh and slighty chemically, something not right. It defiantly I isn't a nice clean lager feel.

Wouldn't buy this again, but I can see it being enjoyed by those of other taste.

L- Pours medium>dark gold, entirely clear, with 1cm of white foam, that's holding pretty well.
S- Very subtle, I get a gentle hint of a fruit around that of apple.
T- Pretty synthetic and thin. There's quite some bitterness to it that finishes in a sugary sweetness.
F- I find it over-carbonated in the mouth, and that CO2 releases very quickly on the tongue, with almost a fizzing sensation. The term 'sweet & sour' also came to mind.
O- Now I know why Wychwood have branded this as from 'Hatherwood'. Never mind the proud brewer of Hobgoblin being associated with Lidl, imagine; they brew the Duchy Original beers for Prince Charles, haha...
The use of the word/term 'Gnarly' and 'New wave lager' suggest this is pitched at a young market. Lable refers to it's 'honeyed citrus and mandarin notes'. No BB date visible anywhere on the packaging incl the bottom of the bottle and cap.
I certainly would not buy this again, I'll probably finish it but it's borderline one to chuck.

Bottled
Pours a very light yellow body with fleeting white head that retreats but keeps the surface covered
Aroma is cornflakes
Flavour is metallic and vague memories of cornbread
Not good
