I had this beer on-tap at the brewery in an old-school pilsner glass.
Appearance: pale golden hue with a tiny dash of haze and a nice effervescence. Head is a finger of white foam leaving a nice lace on the glass.
Smell: rather grainy malt aroma, but not too bad.
Taste: dry and grainy malt with a pronounced bitterness; it’s not nearly as balanced as the style should be. I am trying to find something to like here, and while it’s free of “off” flavors, it’s just not very well composed (to my palate anyway).
Mouthfeel: medium body with a decent carbonation and creaminess.
Overall: just not my jam.
