Somewhat surprised by the industrial biker theme, I decided an IPA was the best way to get to know the brewer. Sledgehammer was a somewhat flat and sedimenty light amber, a slight head graced the top briefly before disappearing. The aroma was nice with a standard citrus hop bouquet. The taste was slightly green, either the hops had been too fresh, or the beer itself was a little young, the medium malt body and fruity bitterness were somewhat over powered by the viridity of the beer. This unfinished sensation accumulated through the beer, and made it somewhat less enjoyable over the course of the beer.
