This beer poured a red copper color. It possessed a very low head. It has a mild sweet aroma, definitely malty. The taste was pleasant yet underwhelming. It was not really the type of beer that you walk away thinking about; more of the type of beer you drink because it's in front of you. The flavor was sweet with a caramel back bone. It had a slightly bitter finish as well.
It did have a nice mouth-feel, nicely carbonated and just thick enough to be substantial. Overall this beer wasn't too bad, it wasn't too great either. They serve this beer ice cold, I would like to try it again and allow it to warm up slightly to see if I could pick up more richness in the flavor. These brews are brewed by Fish Brewing Company out of Olympia, which is a respectable brewery.
