Copenhagen 8/11 2015. 50 cl bottle from Gunnar Madsens Vinhandel, Østerbrogade, Kbh. Ø. Drawing of a thirsty looking dog with beer barrels on its back on the label.
Pours slightly hazy golden yellow with a white head. Settles quickly as a thin layer of foam stretching to cover the surface of the beer. Moderate lacing.
Aroma is very hoppy with citrus fruit and sweet exotic fruit intermingling and some very bitter citric notes.
Medium strong carbonation with an oily palate. Lightly tingling texture.
Flavor is extremely hoppy. Passion fruit and blackcurrant supplemented with citrus and lemon. Long bitter aftertaste with a dry finish.
I would certainly wake up if the rescue dog was carrying this in the little barrel around its neck.

500ml bottle poured into a teku glass. Batch#1158, Best before 10/2017.
Hazy orange amber color, the pour builds up thick creamy off-white head that stays with very good retention before slowly sinking to an eternal foamy crown and leaving lots of sticky lacing here and there.
Fresh, juicy, and hoppy aroma of rich piney resin, tropical fruit, citrus, grapefruit, pineapple, mango, and passion fruit while malt with notes of biscuit and sweet caramel.
The taste is still packed up with vast hop array of tropical fruit, citrus, grapefruit, pineapple, mango, pine, resin, and solid grassy bitterness that is also quite lasting in the aftertaste. Malt is there undertone providing its biscuit and lightly sweet caramel through the taste buds.
Medium body with some bold touch through the palate, quite smooth mouthfeel with some refreshing touch from its lively crisp carbonation, finish is pleasantly dry.
Super fresh, juicy, and hoppy one, it holds all the qualities that good IPA is all about.

Very funny, these people.
This may be a premature conclusion since Lubricated Labrador is only the second beer I remembering Having from Amager. (The first was an American barleywine in preparation for my trip.)
Lubricated Labrador may be one of the few double Imperial American IPA that did not close down my taste buds and make them go on strike. (About 30 minutes later, I could actually eat dinner ... and taste it.)
For me with this style, the primary question is: did you feel better and could you eat ?
I did.
So if you ever find one of Amager's imperials, try it.... but don't drive.
