Copenhagen 14/12 2015. 50 cl bottle from Gunnar Madsen Vinhandel, Østerbrogade, Kbh. Ø. A bunch of Christmas Elfs harassing a damsel on the label.
Pours hazy copper brown with an off-white head. Stable. Settles as a 0,3 cm thick layer of foam. Moderate lacing on the side of the glass.
Aroma is citrus fruit, roastiness and Rye bread. Toasted bread, biscuits and sharp lemon.
Medium strong carbonation and slightly oily palate. Lightly tingling texture.
Sweet taste with some caramel and butterscotch followed by a solid bitterness. Aftertaste is more sweet than bitter leaving some biscuit taste behind.
More hoppy than your average Danish Christmas beer. But that ain't saying much.
