Draft at Oakshire. amber pour, creamy off-white head. Malty, toasty aroma. Taste is malty and sweet, brown bread. Taste follows, malty, sweet, bready, toast. Light bitterness at the finish. Smooth, full

Pint at f/stop Fitzgerald in Salem Oregon.
$6.00.
Pours a really nice clear copper colored body. Splotchy white head. Great lace.
Sour and hoppy aroma. Strange very English.
Taste again English style but the hops stand
out well.
Lovely well done mouth feel.
Excellent beer.

I agree with MaltsOfGlory in previous post that this an intriguing take on the ESB. It is hazy which seems unusual for and ESB but the color was consistent with others I've had before, which is an amber, copper color. A quality dry hopped beer that wasn't overpowering in any way. I was left with the sense that this beer was recently brewed, because of the fresh hop profile and medium amount of white head that doesn't disappear right away. Its not your average ESB but is one that is drinkable, time and again.

Pours about a finger of pillowy off-white head into my Nonic. Retention is a little above average, and there is still a small head after a few minutes. Initial lacing looks pretty nice. Body is copper colored and cloudy. Looks pretty good so far.
Nose has a very odd quality to it, almost astringent or sour, perhaps some tart fruity esters? It's reminiscent of raspberries. I recall other ESB's like this, but it's been a while since I've come across one, it’s certainly not like the caramel forward one's I'm used to. Underneath all that is a biscuity malt character, some toffee. It's not off putting, but it's too precarious to be super good. I'm mildly intrigued though.
Definitely some lightly tart fruity esters on the flavor, raspberry. Hop bitterness probably plays a small role in that character as well. A really lovely dose of toffee balances things nicely in the finish. Somewhat complex and pretty darn tasty. This comes together quite nice.
Carbonation is medium. Light-medium bodied, it’s very smooth while also crisp. The toffee brings some perceived sweetness, but this finishes clean. Bitterness is medium-low. Overall a really nice mouthfeel.
Drinkability is great.
Appearance turned out ok. Lacing was very patchy, but present.
Overall a really lovely take on the ESB, nice to get a refresher on the ester heavy side of the style.
