Barrel-Aged Stout • ABV: 12.0%
This spiced stout was aged in Four Roses ourbon barrels, adding notes of woody vanilla and oak. Jammed with hearty malts, a blend of spices, plus homemade apple pie filling tucked into the barrels, this stout is a warm reminder of a fresh baked apple pie...with a touch of holiday cheer

On tap at The Upper Lip.
Nose is spicy with cinnamon, nutmeg and allspice. Shockingly similar to the spice wars, minus the ginger. The palate opens sweet with dark caramel, buckwheat honey, earth and a spice bouquet. Cinnamon, allspice , cinnamon, earth, cocoa, dark chocolate, a little chicory bitterness. Mildly fatty. Bourbon is whelmed by all the spices. A touch of vanilla is present. Medium full in body and softly carbonated, this beer finishes with plenty of spice. A touch astringent. Quite good.
