This was a near perfect NW hazy in my book. A creamy blend of sweet mango, pineapple, papaya followed by a pithy bitter finish that edges in with a little spicy bite. I enjoy these guys, their brews are top notch, and this one really steps it up a notch

Ah yeah. Hazy but not too mellow! It bites back and leaves you wanting more. So glad I got a couple of these. There are so many hazy posers. This is legit. Not the best. But good enough to repeat, and will the glut of mediocrity these days that's saying something. Right?!

Cold it's very citrusy with a hint of pineapples...yum. As it warmed though it lost a lot of the sweet and became more dank and even malty. I say....keep it cold.

Very cloudy with a long-lasting white foam. It looks exactly like an Orange Julius! Hops are listed as Mosaic, Azacca, Amarillo, Citra, and Cashmere. Fruit soup with an acidic edge. It's very sweet until the sugar wears off and the harsh, twiggy, and bitter aftertaste takes hold.

I can't seem to get away from this murky stuff. Every new beer seems to be trying to out-juice the pack. This one doesn't even mention haze or New England, it's just "India Pale Ale." This is a collaboration with Our Mutual Friend Brewing. From the 16 oz can purchased in northwest Washington.

Poured into a Seattle Beer Week pint glass. Pours a very hazy yellow orange, opaque in the glass, with a fine, two finger white head with great retention and thick lacing. Aroma of pale malt, citrus and mildly tropical hops with a little dankness, orange, lemon and mild tropical mixed tropical fruit. Flavor is neutral malt, citrus hops, intense orange and lemon, light pine needles and vague mixed tropical fruit. Citrus up front with interesting tropical and citrus esters into the mildly bitter finish. Medium bodied with light to moderate creaminess. Although these murky IPAs are not my style, I like a small percentage of them and am periodically sampling them from breweries I trust, so this was definite purchase. Unusually, this one, which has the high fruit, low bitterness balance that I usually enjoy the least, kept my interest. The fruit is dominated by citrus, but has faint, interesting tropical notes and some hints of pine and dankness. The flavor was good and bitterness level low, but satisfactory throughout the glass, which is what I hope for in this style. One of the few opaque, hazy IPAs I'd get again.

To "style", this hits all the marks. On a personal note, I would give this beer a much lower score as 1) This is not what I was expecting. "Unfiltered" and "some sediment" usually means a less than clear beer, not a murk bomb, and 2) I'm not a fan of sweet IPA's. This thing oozes sweetness.

Opaque brownish orange with a billowing off-white froth.

Smells like an orange and lemon-lime plain yogurt smoothie.

Tastes like one too with vanilla pudding being the base. Lime hard candy, confectioners sugar, and a touch of licorice.

Smooth, extra creamy, almost milky, with low (if any) bitterness other than on the very far end.

Not my jam, but a pretty solid milk shake style IPA, though I don't even think that is what this was going for. Who knows ..

Cheers.

Appearance is hazy orange-gold with a dense, creamy, persistent white head that leaves tons of sticky lacing. Aroma has lots of citrus; orange and lemon, and a hint of resinous pine. Taste is similar to the nose. Citrus and tropical fruit up front, dank resin on the finish.
