Poured into a Seattle Beer Week pint glass. Pours a very hazy, opaque caramel with fine, one finger white head with great retention and thick lacing. Aroma of citrus and tropical fruit hops, lemon, orange, mixed light tropical fruit, kiwi and a little dankness. Flavor is citrus and mildly piney hops, orange, tangerine, mild tropical fruit, kiwi, pine needles. Finishes with moderately bitter piney and citrus hops. Medium bodied with light to moderate creaminess. A nice hybrid hazy, with more tropical notes in the aroma than the taste, which is a fine mixture of citrus and pine. Like many of this style, the bitterness level of the finish is a bit underwhelming to my taste, but as with any IPA from Fort George, there is plenty of herbal hop flavors to keep interest. The pine and dank notes are particularly welcome. Flavorful. Although not my style, I really did keep wanting to taste this to tease out flavors.
