Phenomenal. Smells like a pot of coffee brewed yesterday. Tastes like day old coffee (in a good way!). Nice mouthfeel, flowery (I don't know I'm tipsy). Love the hint of cardamom.

Poured in a pint glass from a growler purchased at Total Wines in Spokane, Growler was sealed then set in the fridge for a week until my partner got home to share.

A - Dark red/brown with a light dark brown head that quick dissipated.

S- Mild chocolate, carmel with just a slight note of coffee.

T - Rich with carmel, chocolate and very little coffee bitterness.

M - Wonderfully light for a beer with such a lot of flavor. It left little bitterness or sweetness, just the full flavors from the beer.

O - We thought this was a great Imperial Porter, full of taste but very easy to drink.

A: Poured a jet black color with good carboination leaving a tan cap and some bubbles

S: Smells like a big cup o joe. Nothing fancy but some strong coffee beans

T: Coffee, not overpowering int he taste but def dominant. The coffee tasted like it had been brewed for a day, set out and then infused with the beer. Not to appealing. Not a fresh taste. Coffee and roasted malt made up the rest of the flavor and that was was sordove muddy too.

M: Not much body for a beer of this caliber. Has an underwhelming feel and taste as I swish it sround.

O: This beer is a no go for anyone who loves coffee stouts.

Pours black with no head just a thin layer of brown foam.

It smells of vanilla, coffee and liquorices’. I also get a bit of a dark fruit type of smell.

It tastes of mild coffee with a large amount of sugar added. I get overtones of sweet chocolate and dry fruit. it ends with a bit of a coffee like bitter flavor.

There is a thick mouthfeel.

Overall the beer tastes ok but the coffee flavor I think is muted and not very complex. Compared to most coffee imperial stouts this one is too sweet. Not a bad beer but the beer did not do much for me.

33 cl tulip at The Beer Mongers PDX $2 special 4/17/11.

Dark brown opaque hue, very minimal brown head due to full pour, no visible effervescence. Big coffee hit in the nose, some vanilla for balance. Coffee dominates the taste, espresso grind, some vanilla and floral hops. Mouthfeel is medium with not much effervescence present. Pretty drinkable, the ABV is well hidden, though i must admit I'm not a big fan of coffee stouts, if you are this is certainly worth a try.

On yap at Bailey's Taproom in Portland. Pours an inky black colour with thin tan head. Mild lacing around the glass. Smells of bourbon, with rich coffee roast. Flavour is a bit boozy, but still very nice. Thin mouthfeel, expected a bit creamier. Nice imperial stout.
