16 oz can from Brewers Haven. Hazy orange golden body, frothy head fades. Citrusy aroma, light floral notes, some funk. Taste is citrus peel, grapefruit, lemon. Bitter with light sweet elements.

A quick review of another collaboration brew. This one pours a typical NWIPA -- hazy and light head. Piney notes, nice aroma. Solid IPA, well done. Dry, lingering taste. Cool artwork on the can.

L: Light golden blonde ale coloration with a one finger quickly fading head to the slightest of rings on the glass. Short clinging lacing.

S: I believe this is mostly passion fruit and bittering hops on the nose.

T: Passion Fruit that is overcome with bitterness and malt, some peaches and tangerine.

F: Light medium, cloying pine resin and biting carbonation - not the best combo.

O: I love the three ways so I was super excited by a Cloudburst collab. However this left me wanting. Perfectly drinkable but for the first time I regret the full limit four purchase.

the citra edition remains the only one of these i have had so far this year, and judging by their popularity here, its unlikely ill find the others. this is yet another excellent hoppy beer from fort george, who seems to be doing these hazy ones about as well as anyone right now, i have been impressed almost every time. this is a cool series, and one people obviously look forward to each year. i have long been a critic of citra hops in a single or almost single hop context, i feel like it has a short climax and a funny finish in high doses, and i personally prefer it in the mix with other hops than on its own, but this is pretty complete spectrum as it goes, so mad props to these guys for getting the extra inch out of it. freshness matters with something like this, and i caught it brand new which was nice. it has familiar lemongrass juiciness and a light pineapple hint, along with meyer lemon, preserved lemon, and a soft herbal roundness to it, oily but not bitter at all, maybe trace melon in its extreme freshness. its delicious, but its nothing new. the guy at the bar appeared well into his second four pack of cans, and was singing its praises so loud and repeatedly that i didnt want to hang out there anymore, and i just cant imagine getting that excited about this. i mean, sure its great, but it doesnt really pull away from the best of the best in this style for me, maybe it was someones first experience with a good hazy instead of a heavy, sedimented, hop burning one, i dont know. great beer here, but it didnt change my life...

16oz can (canned 6/419) poured into knock-off perfect pint glass. Poured a very cloudy orange-yellow color, with a bunch of floaties, that had an inch of white head that low retention and lacing.

The aroma was mostly fruity hops, very light grain scent, but seemed soft and muted.

The flavor profile was very similar, just brighter and more developed. There was the addition of a bit of hop bite at the back end that added some interest.

The body was, as expected, on the light side of medium, smooth, and had a semi-dry finish.

Drinkability was fine, I wouldn't turn down another, but I also wouldn't seek it out.

Overall, a nice brew. One that doesn't really stand out from the crowd, but is nicely enjoyable.

Can dated CITRA 05/30/19 from Belmont Station coolers.

Nothing to be super excited about. Nose is nice, tropical, but mute. Taste not nearly as enjoyable and forgettable. Look forward to this effort yearly, and this is the first I've been disappointed. Another average hazy in the growing world of too many average hazy hoppy ales.

Taste- Citrus, papaya, grapefruit.

Canned 04 June, purchased at ABV.

A mildly hazy orange with a dense, white head that falls off rapidly leaving little lacing, this looks good. The nose has plenty of fruit with peach and nectarine and mandarin present, along with some navel orange. The classic Fort George yeast character, mildly fruity, is present. Malt character is minimal. The palate opens juicy and mildly bitter but decidedly rough and relatively unrefined. Fruit with peach, mandarin, orange, a little pine is present. A mild bitterness with orange peel and pine is present. The hop character is rough, mildly gritty, mildly chalky and mildly mineral like in a way that's not that great. Drying, fruity on the finish, this beer is light in body and moderately carbonated. Decent stuff, the palate doesn't live up to the nose.
