It’s a good thing I don’t make it a policy to not drink beers I can’t pronounce because this 500ML bottle wouldn’t make the cut. Split with my wife.

The pour is a slightly brighter NE IPA orange, hazy with the bottom gunk & frothy on top. Three of the ingredients jump the shark to the nose: orange peel, rum, nutmeg.

Pipiopi is more aggressive than a Cancun taxi driver. Wooooweeeee! Rum is bumpin’ & I double checked to make sure there weren’t four orange slices in my teku (yes, I still love them, they’re awesome). Coconut, vanilla, sprig of nutmeg comes into the middle palate, with a Finnish of rum & booziness. Surprisingly light for the ABV & half this tiny bottle is plenty for me.

This is the definition of “interesting”. I suspect the brewer hit the bullseye of what they were intending; it’s certainly different. Good beer.

2021 bottling split into glasses; definitely not retired. Pours out a glowing golden-orange color with a small, bright white head. Huge fruity impressions on the nose with plenty of coconut, pineapple, mango, citrus, spice, rum, and some heat. The taste follows the nose and tastes like a cocktail at times, fruity tropical notes and that rummy/boozy warm backbone pulls this together for a nice strong ale. The pineapple and coconut are spot on, very present throughout. Loved it, this is pretty fun.

Dark orange appearance with nice white head that dissipates quickly. Aroma is a nice slightly sweet pineapple and coconut tropical that has no alcohol aftertaste.
