Bottle at share.Dark, ruddy brown pour, small beige foalmy head. Aroma is roasty, notes of chocolate, coffee and of course, bourbon. Taste is full and thick, plenty of warmth with rich chocolaty flavors, hint of vanilla , oak, whiskey. Nice.

Poured into a Fremont small snifter. Poured from a mini-growler into a Fremont small snifter. Pours a very dark mahogany brown, appearing nearly opaque black in the glass with a quarter finger light brown head with good retention and lacing lacing. Aroma of dark toasted malt, bourbon, chocolate, hints of coffee and vanilla. Flavor is dark toasted malt, bourbon, molasses, vanilla, and milk chocolate; bourbon forward. Finishes with cocoa, coffee, cocoa and residual bourbon. Medium bodied with light to moderate creaminess. A very nice, smooth and silky imperial stout in the Russian imperial stout style. Cocoa nibs give an excellent realistic chocolate flavor and the malt is toasty with very light char character. Like the last version of this I had, it is a bit bourbon forward, but I'm a bourbon fan, so I can live with that; otherwise, it's mellow and well integrated. An all round fine barreled stout.
