Can from the source. Canned 4 days back.
A mildly hazy light orange with a dense, off white head with good retention and lacing, this looks solid. The nose is a gorgeous, deep, bright and redolent fresh hop nose, fruity, pithy, lemony, mildly earthy and fresh grass. The palate opens with a soft, doughy, mildly bready pils malt character with a rather huge hop flavor. Soft, bright, lemony, earthy, mildly woody, mildly woodsy, there's perfume, lemongrass, mint and just a lot of fresh hop aromatics present. Drying, bitter, mildly doughy on the finish, this is brilliant. A soft oily/resiny character lingers on in the finish. The blend of pils malt and hop bitterness is quite excellent here. This is a great pils and an excellent fresh hop pils.

Canned on Sept 14, just 6 days past. Slightly hazy, has a hop bite over a malt base. A wet hopped lager...interesting approach and Ft .George brings it off very well indeed. Good carbonation, a bit sticky on the tongue, clean finish. We will go looking for some more of this one. Awesome can art, too.

Look: Opaque light orange with a quick-forming head that billows up nicely and lingers well, showing good lacing already
Aroma: Freshly cut grass, lemongrass, pilsner malt, citrus notes, wafts of cracker-like malt, and some floral hop notes
Taste: HUGE pithy, grassy, and citrus hop notes explode onto the palate and coat the tongue with oily hop goodness. Pilsner malt makes its presence known from time to time but is continually forced into the background by the immense wet hop character
Mouthfeel: Clean, full, medium-high carbonation, and crisp throughout but also finishes with a nice bite (not overdone) and mild dryness
Overall: Wow, this is a phenomenal wet-hopped pilsner. As a fan of non-pale/IPA fresh-hopped beers I was excited to see what Fort George would do with wet Sterlings and this did not disappoint. Fresh hop character wasn’t as evident on the nose to me but I chalk that up to our 10-day stretch of smoky skies and hazardous air quality temporarily dumbing down my senses. A great base pilsner from what I can tell too but that fresh hop character is truly in the spotlight here. Delicious and highly recommended
