Almost black with a dark brown head with excellent retention and lacing this looks great. The nose is fantastic. Dark roasted malt, grainy bitterness,cocoa, bitter dark fruit, this is a great schwarzbier. The palate opens roasty and bitter with grain, cocoa, chicory, bitter dark fruit, maybe some coffee? The mid-palate has more grain flavor with a mild hop bitterness, a blend of pine and earth. Drying, bitter finish, medium bodied, astoundingly so given the low ABV and low residual sweetness, creamy carbonation. Excellent!

Black, fully opaque color, tan head. Nose is light smoke, some roast coffee notes. Taste is quite dry, roasted malt, some anise flavors as well. Nice earthiness in the background.. Rich carbonation and excellent mouthfeel. Can art is really interesting. If you find some of these, grab 'em.

 

first things first/ The label on this 16 oz can is phenomenal. "The Builders and The Butchers". Really great art.

Beer has a dark brown body similar colour to coca cola. Fantastic thick and frothy tan head.
Aroma is semi sweet chocolate malts. Some milky coffee. Dark dried fruits well in the background.
Taste is more in the lines of the style. Even getting some ashiness in the end. Very good.
Mouth feel is excellent..just s drinkable
