550ml bottle, aged in Willet barrels
A- pours jet black with a one finger foamy dark brown head that reduces to a bubbly film on top
S- plenty of barrel on the nose; strong barrel juice, wet oak, caramel, tobacco juice, toffee. The base beer gives chocolate, brown sugar, dried figs, prunes and fruit cake
T- initial taste is like liquid fruit cake; an array of dark fruit flavors of raisin, fig, black cherry and prune. Mid-palate brings a wave of caramel and toffee, along with brown sugar, molasses and bitter dark chocolate. The finish brings out the barrel, adding bourbon, oak, vanilla and an enhancing caramel note. The finish gives more dark fruits mixed with chocolate, with light bourbon on the linger
M- medium body with low carbonation leads to a slightly foamy mouthfeel that turns slightly oily into a warming finish
O- outstanding dark fruit flavors with just enough barrel to compliment, amazing

Barleywine is life! Pours the color of a muddy French press, with impressive lacing. I could picture having a barleywine mustache from what’s left streaking down my glass.
The aroma hits all the right notes, with lots of raisin and fig jam notes mixed in with some well-worn leather. The sip is chewy, with an impressive heft as well. Lingering finish. An incredible and well-deserved sipper.
