yet another really good hoppy beer from fort george, my father in law and i both really dug this, a nice drinkable hazy one to kick vacation off right. this is a cool showcase of nectaron hops, but its also cool that its a pale ale, and even though its plenty hazy looking, its light to drink, low on bitterness, and actually pretty light on body for being this hazy. the aroma is awesome, sliced yellow peach at peak ripeness, along with dried apricot, honey, dried flowers, lemon verbena, and raw wheat, earthy on the grain side, rightly simple, the hops do most of the talking here. the flavor is similar, with big ripe stone fruit up front, supporting citrus notes, lemon and orange to me, and then a softness in the finish where either over hopped green bite or more conventional bitterness generally rise up, but here it just kind of fades back into a dry swallow, a neat way to keep this real drinkable and not too aggressive. the freshness stands out, i think nectaron in this instance has some common ground with citra, but might be a bit more versatile on its own, not really needing others to be dynamic, at least in this beer (assuming its a single hop brew). it is a little less carbonated than i want it to be, but its still easy drinking, especially for a hazy, and overall they did a great job with this. not sure i realized power cycle was a series, i will have to track down the others. this was very good.

Look: It looks like O.J. in the glass with a quick-forming and equally quick to settle head that leaves minimal lacing behind
Aroma: Ripe nectarines, guava, papaya, lychee, mandarins, sugar-dusted strawberries, and some mango
Taste: Follows the nose well as a tropical fruit puree opens it up with notes of guava, passionfruit, and papaya, along with a boatload of overripe nectarines. Berries and lychee weave in and out along with malt sweetness and closes with more nectarines
Mouthfeel: Full, a little slickness, medium-high carbonation, and decently soft on the finish with just a hint of astringency
Overall: I dig it. This is only my second beer brewed with Nectaron hops and it’s definitely unique but also aptly named with tons of nectarine and tropical fruit being the prominent flavors/aromas to me. Not too heavy of a mouthfeel on this hazy, which I like and a fun and unique treat – thanks Dad!

Crowler, IPA glass; darker haze, especially for a regular NE pale...big fluffy white head from the crowler pour. The juicy fruit nose pokes through loudly, with that characteristic nectarine but also pineapple cocktail mix and some coconut...taste includes those same flavors but more lightly smoothed over, like a 5% beer probably should be. Easy to drink but it kind of falls of at the end with some residual sweetness left behind. Still good, but not my favorite.

12 oz can from a 6-pack, purchased from Safeway in West Salem OR.
$10.99
Pours a light hazy orange. kind of like a banana and mango smoothie colour. Nice strong frothy thick white head.
Very strong tropical fruit aromas. And also the white grape from the NZ hop showing through. Fragrant.
Flavours are like the aroma but kinda smoothed out int a so so tropical light taste.
Mouth feel kina lets this down. The carbonation is very low and even at 5% alc..cand prevent some cloying after a few sips.
Started off good finished weakly. Sorry
