Iredale Amber is a toasty amber lager with a rich biscuit aroma and a very slight bitterness.
Summer is great but you know what else is great? Fall. With its rich toasty malts, its low, soothing sweetness and a balanced, clean finish, you might as well be drinking the lager equivalent of a wool sweater, a thermos of strong tea, and the sound of the ships in the shipping channel blasting their fog warnings in the morning mist.

Can must have been sitting on a shelf somewhere, it is dated 9-23-2022 and I just got it 3 weeks ago. It pours an orange/amber color with about 1 finger of head which dissipates rather quickly. The aroma is sweet malt and hops. Taste is malt and citrus/piney hops. It finishes with a slight bitterness. Decent beer and tasted good with dinner. Rated 3-30-2023

Clear orangey amber brew with abundant foam in the snifter. Pleasant nose of grain and a hint of grapes. Taste is warm but not sweet, just malty and grainy. Nobody has suggested that this is an American Amber Lager, but it's certainly better than most Viennas I have ever had. This is more rich and malty but nicely balanced with the hops. Overall it is highly sippable and worth seeking out and worth keeping around. From the 12 oz can purchased at the brewery store. Dated 08/08/24.

Pours a beautiful golden color, just a smidge shy of perfectly clear, with a creamy white head that leaves a nice cap on the body of the beer as you indulge and provides significant lacing. The nose is a fantastic combination of bready malt, spicy floral hops, and a touch of caramalt. Wow.
The bread and spicy floral hops are the show here, with the bready flavor leadin and the spicy floral hops grabbing the wheel mid-palate, and that bit of caramalt at the finish for a smooth, crisp landing on the mouthfeel.
This is fantastic - I wish I had a keg of this to enjoy. Exceptionally well done.

Light amount of white head. Very clear, medium gold appearance. Moderate level of medium toasted caramelized malt. Good and smooth, medium toasted and roasted barley malt flavor, with just a little bit of a floral hop note, without a bite. Medium full mouthfeel, and a slightly roasty note, to the toasted malt flavor, for the finish.

Pours straw colored, mostly clear, with a slight hint of amber, white head, ok retention, a spot or two of lacing here and there for first half of glass.
This has a beautiful nose to it…it smells like a fresh loaf of lightly crusty bread, it’s incredibly aromatic, light floral/herbal hops in the foreground, along with some slight grain…I’m not sure what it is but the balance of these two aromas is lovely.
The taste also displays a perfect balance of toasty rich bread and herbal hops; the pleasant toastiness also remains, slight hop spiciness is also present.
Incredibly smooth clean beer to drink; light body but so far from watery, it is snappy on the finish with a tongue coating dryness, a moderate hop bitterness seals the deal on the finish.
This beer is really really good, it’s so bright, balanced and drinkable, the aroma is intoxicating as are the flavors.

Look: Medium orange and clear with a lively head that builds up, holds, and settles to a film, leaving good lacing behind
Aroma: Raw dough, floral hops, lightly toasted bread, freshly baked bread, and wafts of toffee
Taste: Starts out with a combination of raw dough and bready malt that immediately develop depth as layers of crust and toast all come into play. Floral hops weave in and out throughout and closes with more bready goodness
Mouthfeel: Light but full, extremely clean, medium-high carbonation, and a clean and crisp finish
Overall: This is delicious stuff. I love a good Vienna and have always held these folks in high regard with their lager brewing skills and this is another fine example. Tasty, seemingly flawless, and checks all the style boxes, not to mention it’s tasty and way too easy to drink, which is a good thing. Recommended

16oz can
Pours a finger of pillowy white head into my Nonic. Retention is wonderful, after a few minutes half of the head remains and lasts the entire way down. Lacing is extremely thick. Body is a bronze-orange, crystal clear, with a heavy amount of bubbles coming up. This looks beautiful.
Nose has a solid bready backbone, slightly toasty. One dimensional, but it’s very clean. Smells pretty good.
I find that Vienna’s drink a lot closer to light Lagers like Dortmunders than they do other amber lagers like Oktoberfests; that is to say, they usually don’t quite have the level of malt that’s often advertised. This is no different, this flavor is very light and there is a pretty significant mineral character that almost gives it a watery feel. Beyond that, there are some similarities to the nose - bready, slightly toasty. Some herbal hops come out over time and offer some much needed depth. Overall the flavor is ok.
Carbonation is pretty high. Body is extremely light. There is a clear touch of bitterness, which is a little surprising. No sugars to speak of, though I wouldn’t call this dry. Overall a nice mouthfeel, albeit one that doesn’t help the watery nature too much.
Drinkability is perfectly fine, but a little more flavor would go a long way.
Overall this is ok. There are some nice hop notes, and a few good things here and there; but generally speaking, this is just too light and lacking too much flavor.

16oz tallboy can purchased at Nectar, in Kendall Yards, Spokane, WA, for $3.49. The name and artwork on the can pay homage to the wreck of the Peter Iredale, a 4-masted steel-hulled Barque that wound up stranded on Clatsop Spit near the mouth of the Columbia in 1906. At various points in my life from even before I can remember, I have stood next to (and perhaps climbed on) this shipwreck, so it's pretty cool to see Fort George giving a nod to local history.
Poured into a 16oz dimpled mug, this was a bright coppery color, with a good-sized eggshell white head. Decent lace.
Toasty and slightly caramel-like malts and subtle noble hops hit the nose.
Toasted malt and caramel notes form the taste for the most part, but, at the finish, there's almost an English ale fruitiness, although the finish is definitely as one would expect for the style.
Clean finishing, perhaps not quite as crisp as it could be but not too bad in the mouth feel department.
Pretty nice Vienna Lager, a style I've really come to dig over the last few years. This one drinks a little bit bigger than it's stated 4.7% abv, but not to a troubling degree. Hoping this becomes a fall classic for FG and not a one-off.

Canned 8/23. Pours a clean, golden amber with a thick head, sticky lacing. Indistinct bready aroma, typical of lagers. Taste is malt forward, not overly sweet, quite refreshing. Modest ABV of 4.7% makes for a refreshing beer. Pleasant lager finish, has you wanting another. Good for light foods when you don't want the beer to dominate the taste.
