Collaboration with Lost Grove. Do you remember the first craft beer that ever blew your mind? All that brutal, fruity hop flavor and a curiously meaty finish? Well, all those flavors came from Cascade Hops (pretty much guaranteed). A mighty hop, the most popular hop in American beer for almost 40 years. BUT what if we got ahold of every single Cascade Hop product available, put it all in one beer, then blasted the disparate forms of Cascade lupulin particles and specialty malts with the most extreme, mother-of-all- flavor-making yeasts: Omega’s Thiolized Star Party. What then, hm? That’s what we said to our friends at Lost Grove and they said, let’s give it a try. How did it turn out? You’ll have to ask us when we come down

This fella was awesome. Mostly clear, caramel-colored pour with a bright white head; unique and intense, leaning modern in its hoppiness but really drinkable somehow...pine, herbal orange, spice, resin, grass, caramel, woody, grassy, tanic, sweet malt, somewhat oily body. Complex and well-executed!

cool art on this, a collaboration with lost grove, which is where i had this, not sure how they pulled off doing a beer with these guys, pretty awesome. the beer is great too, a clear pale in the west coast tradition, on the edge of being ipa, lets be honest, this is extremely hoppy, really unique too, thiolized yeast, a bunch of cascade hops and hop products apparently, i think they did a great job with it, modern and intense but also drinkable and kind of addicting, i was very impressed. this yeast can be amazing, and it does something cool in this too, used correctly, which i am learning is not always the case with these new strains. honey colored beer with an average white head on it, ring lacing, and frantic carbonation, lively and tidy looking. aroma on this is more than just cascade in the normal sense to me, spicy yeah, but majorly fruity too, nice and bitter it seems too, orange and herbal character, even a faint strawberry thing, unexpected, pungent, fresh as can be, light but not that light on the grain side. the flavor is beautiful, a cool expression of this hop, has to be some cryo or something too it starts real early and gets intense without getting green or bitey, something i now know is a product of cryo hops. neat orange essence in the center, grassy bitter finish and more familiar cascade spiciness and high alpha pop late, definitely more into the ipa than pale range for me, but i dont mind it being robust. the ferment adds something more than just hop saturation, also a light doughy vibe, a pineapple candy note too i think, must be the thiols, cannabis at the end too, wow. this is really flavorful and fresh and good, and fits right in with all the other awesome hoppy beers fort george makes, super modern but also classic with the cascade. if this is the future of hop forward beers, im all in! neat that lost grove was involved too. great stuff.

16oz can from Boise Co-op. Dark golden pour, clear, small frothy white head. Aroma is subdued balance of malts and hops. Taste is a blast of sweet malts, with bittering hops rising to to take over. Faint woody, tannic notes and a lingering hop buzz. A bit dry with light mouth coating. Quite a mouthful.
