test batch for the upcoming and famous 3 way they do each year with different breweries. its on its way, but i can tell its still a work in progress, even if its delicious and ready by just about any other standard than the massively high bar they set for themselves. this is real hazy, a little thick still for me, denser than i want for something i am going to have a couple of pints of, real pale though which is nice, plenty dry, and with a unique enough hop profile that i am excited already for the final version. the nose is peach, pineapple, dehydrated mango, and white grape, it almost smells like it has some tang, but is also resinous, northwestern, and loaded with oily decadent hop intensity. the flavor has a limey or lime leaf thing, could be galaxy hops in it doing that, but also a more familiar orange juice vibe, sweet up front, slightly bitter in the back, a lot of grain body but not a ton of grain flavor, but its also not totally dry. i get some dank weediness, a little green harshness that im sure they will clean up, and a floral and vinous wrinkle on the swallow, really good hop complexion, a slightly less refined than expected beer, but thats what beta testing is for right? its cool they work so hard to get it right each year, and that they allow the public to taste the beer as it evolves, a rare privelege and learning experience for the masses, really fun project, and wait for the final release!
