I believe this is the version that’s fermented with a kolsch yeast, although it’s not necessarily a kolsch?... either way, no complaints.
Pours a crystalline gold with a light aroma. There’s some chew, with a bite of hops, some melon and guava and pine sap on the sip. Tasty.

Poured from a 16 ounce can dated 6-2-23 into a tulip glass.

Look- Straw, moderately hazy, visible small particulate, frothy white head, above average head retention and lacing.

Smell- Orange, floral, slightly strawberry, pineapple, medium strength of scent.

Taste- Highly pithy, slight orange, melon, low bitterness, high astringency, between weak and medium strength of flavor.

Feel- Medium body, average carbonation, between medium and high creaminess, high astringency, low bitterness.

Overall- Straw with above average head retention and lacing, but much more haziness than I would expect from a West Coast IPA. Bouquet was medium strength and pleasant, but lacked the pine I would expect. Flavor was fairly weak and was head back by a high amount of astringency. Feel was nice with medium body and a great amount of creaminess, but the astringency again negatively affected my enjoyment. Overall this beer provided an okay experience, but going into it expecting a West Coast IPA and really getting an average NEIPA was off putting.

Poured into a Seattle Beer Week pint glass. Pours a moderately hazy, light to medium golden amber with a three finger white head with good retention and solid lacing. Aroma of pale malt, citrus and dank hops, grapes, grapefruit, lemon and some catty dankness. Flavor is pale malt, citrus, piney and dank hops, grapefruit, pine, lemon, mixed tropical fruit and dankness. Light to moderate bitterness in the finish. Medium bodied with light to moderate creaminess. When the "hazy" version (green can) came out, I skipped it, but was happy to see a "west coast" version (violet can). Unfortunately, although this does have some classic NW hops, particularly good citrus and pine, but also some dankness, it finished soft and just barely enough bitterness to keep my interest. Kind of muddled hop bill that may indicate mosaic hops, which can be too busy in flavor for me. It's a pleasant drinker and I particularly like the catty dankness, but I would have liked a more interestingly bitter finish. I can see the Anchorage influence here because they seem to have gone full hazy in their IPAs (at least the ones that make it to our market).

Slight haze on the yellow-amber brew with abundant foam in the wine tumbler. Very orangey citrus aroma. Tastes of tangerine, candied orange peel, and ripe white grapes. Or after another sip, sparkling peach wine. Pleasant sudsy mouthfeel with a moderate acidic note. Massive fruit flavors, but it's really quite good. Moderate bitterness and a hint of astringency. From the 16 oz can purchased at the beer store in Oak Harbor.

Look: A glowing neon yellow with a dense and frothy head that billows to the rim and lingers, refusing to settle although finally relenting to leave webs of lacing behind
Aroma: Peach, cantaloupe melon, limes, kumquats, gooseberries, pink & white grapefruit, wafts of floral hops, ripe strawberries, and sweet bready malt
Taste: Peach and berries open it up quickly and soon joined by sweet and juicy melon that lingers in the spotlight for a moment. Limes and grapefruit present themselves in the middle but with a sweeter/juicy quality and floral hop notes tease in the background until peaches and berries return for the close
Mouthfeel: Full, clean, medium-high carbonation, and soft and clean on the finish
Overall: This is a tasty and unique offering. I didn’t realize they made this 2nd version of 3-Way this year, similar to what they did last year so had to try it and it’s interesting and good. The Kolsch yeast makes its own fruitiness and also helps make the fruity aspects of the hop bill “pop,” plus it gives it a very clean feel overall. Lots of ripe fruit presence too and my only knock would be I’d prefer it with more of a bite and drier overall. Still very tasty and worth trying

Pours a pale slightly hazed orange. Small clingy white head.
Fruity aromas..kinda Kolsch..from the yeast. But very balanced. Even refined. Great.
Taste again like the aroma..refined and well balanced. Fruity again but not haze boi fruity..nice. Aspect of Kolsch too..nice floral hop ending.
Great mouth feel.edium and not sticky.
A great 90 degree beer.

16oz can; clear, pale straw liquid with a big, dense white head and ample carbonation. Pushes out a lot of NZ hops and Mosaic on the nose, skunky and dank with low bitterness and a clean finish. Crisp and clean, an easy drinker.

Can from TJs.

A mildly hazy straw yellow with a dense, white head with good retention and lacing. The nose is dank and fruity, tropical with melon, peach, a touch of ganja, mango and a lightly sweet malt base to complement the fruit notes. Alcohol is well hidden. The palate opens fruity and dank, clean, moderately bitter and oily. Melon, peach, mango, weed are all present. Clean and resiny. Mild malt sweetness, complementing the hops, though I can't quite taste the rye. A touch of carbonic acidity in the finish.

Oh man, these guys always create some of my favorite IPA collaborations, this one is one of my tops! This one oozes with super dank Mosaic aroma and taste, maybe it’s NZ hops, I’m not sure, but I adore the sweet white grape, cantaloupe, honeydew, and skunk with a little onion and cat pee in the background. Malts are sweet and mellow supportive role. This one is finished clean with a little linger, it’s great in cans, I’m so glad I found some freshies!

Canned on 6/2. Pours a slightly hazy light golden amber. Frothy head, good lacing. Nose is herbal / earthy with grapefruit. Carbonation and feel is clean. Bitterness is present but not overwhelming, no harshness, a long finish to a hint of dankness. Very enjoyable, but not in the top- class.

16oz can from Brewers Haven. Golden pour, cloudy, sturdy white foamy head. Aroma is citrusy, zesty, grassy, floral. Taste is grapefruit, lemon peel, hibiscus, dank and grassy. Almost leads up to a flavor close to onion. Underneath swirls some solid bready malts.
