A beer to honor friendship and pizza. Come with us and celebrate the world’s most logical food and beverage pairing with a pint of Pizza Pals. At Fort George, we’ve been making wood-fired pizza for over a decade. Our friends at Fast Fashion in Seattle know just a little more about pizza than your average Chief Pizza Design Officer (CpDO). They make a classic Neapolitan-style pizza at The Masonry. Pizza Pals is the perfect beer for pizza: packed with fresh new Anchovy Hops and loads of Citra and Waimea alongside the finest, lightest malts we could muster for a balanced, snappy, luxurious IPA.

This beer pours a hazy yellow color with a decent medium head that turns into good lacing throughout. Aroma is biscuity grains and slight tropical fruit. It has a nice sweetness and slight bitterness from the middle to the finish. Very good refreshing beer. Can Date 1-2-2024. Rated 2-19-2024

awesome stuff here, a recent favorite beer for me, of any persuasion, could not be more unique and well executed, so stoked on this, a collaboration with fast fashion and featuring the intriguing anchovy hops, a segal ranch product i believe, only had a beer or two with them before now. more orange than blonde, but still quite pale, backlit and glowing but definitely hazy under an inch of white head with web lacing as it drinks. the nose and taste on this are nearly identical, big wafts of nectarine up front, lemon candy, and fresh herbal character, almost savory to me, dried flowers, grasses, and teas too, drippy ripe though, some melon, dry as can be and with a clean ferment. the hops definitely stand out as unique, kind of southern hemisphere and as it warms i do get some white wine grape character here, fresh pineapple, too, but its abrupt on the back end because of how dry it is, no bite, middle of the road bitterness. it was awesome to actually drink this on pizza night, super fun, and a downright superb pairing. the anchovy hops make this memorable, and im immediately keen to drink more beers featuring them, herbal as well as fruity, modern and punchy without taking this out of balance, but its also true that fort george is the maker of some of the best hoppy beer in the region, and their expertise is also on full display here. love the supporting hops too, the drinkability of this is off the charts, light but not invisible grain, pillow soft, and i cant wait to crack another can. truly magnificent, an early beer of the year candidate for me, criminally underrated here on BA so far...

Taster at New Colony. Hazy yellow pour, silky white head. Light citrusy aroma, juicy. Taste is light, grapefruit peel, orange, juicy, so smooth. Excellent

Fort George is the first brewery I knew which created a new style of beer which would later become a hazy which Fort George called City of Dreams . This is when I discovered I loved Hazy beers and those with lots of sludge in the bottom of the can which i like. I want to thanks my son for giving me this beer as knew I would love it.
When poured it produced a big fluffy head and the smell hits you right away unlike most beers with little real smell. This beer gives off a big nose full of watermelon, grape, lemon, lime, pineapple and star fruit. After the first sip the fruit medley is balanced by enough body and tannins to stop it from becoming too sweet. The delightful taste is caused by an exclusive hop created by a brewery called Fast Fashion in Seattle Washington who joined Fort geotge in making this beer. Fast Fashion created a new hop grown in Yakima which they named anchovy and the small plot only provides hops for them. What a great partner for Fort George to choose to collaborate with on a new beer. If you love a well balanced hazy beer and love a new twist on the usual taste this is your beer. I love it and its highly recommend.

Loved this one, kind of surprised t pours like a NEIPA when I cracked the 16oz can; I had thought it was more West Coast when I bought it. Hazy yellow-gold pour, a nose and palate full of tropical fruit; mango, papaya, citrus, tropical fruit, pineapple, light piney bitterness. Really good, pretty much what I'm looking for in a NEIPA.

Canned 11/27, so quite fresh. Hazy pour, thick head, only a finger high. Lots of fruit aroma, citrus, fresh grass, some dankness. Taste starts out a bit dry and bitter but quickly blossoms out with a very flavor - filled long finish. Be sure to have the beer up to cellar temps before serving; it seems to really expand its flavor profile at that point - more than most. ABV is a moderate 7.2%. Not sure how long it will be available, so grab it when you see it.

Can from Mongers.
A hazy orange with a dense, white head with great retention and lacing. The nose is massively fruity with mango, berries, some honeydew melon before notes of aspirin appear. The palate opens very fruity with honey, mango, citrus, berries, mild strawberry, light kiwi and a really nice almost kiwiberry like character. This is before a moderate grass and aspirin medicinal note come thru, with a hop burn that isn't wholly pleasant. Drying, fruity finish. Decent.

Look: Bright, almost glowing orange in the glass and on the pour, which yields a foamy white head that settles to a lid, leaving good lacing behind
Aroma: Limes, pine, Lemonhead candy, fir needles, navel orange, fruit and skunky Cannabis, watermelon, diesel terpenes, starfruit, and sweet bready malt
Taste: Watermelon, limes, starfruit, and pine start it off and quickly joined by orange-led citrus, candied lemon, and crushed fir needles that quickly mix in. All things Cannabis; fruit, citrus, skunk, and diesel, shine in the middle before watermelon, conifer, citrus, and starfruit return to the forefront to close it out
Mouthfeel: Full, slick, medium-high carbonation, and slick on the finish with just a kiss of dryness
Overall: This is some tasty stuff. I loved last year’s iteration of this so it was an easy buy this time and I was genuinely intrigued in how it would turn out. Spoiler alert: it’s dank, pun intended. A trippy and tasty blend of unique fruit (watermelon & starfruit), Cannabis, citrus, and conifers that come together in a really good way and in a beer that although not bitter and not dry, is right up my alley flavor-wise. Delicious, recommended, and one I’ll be procuring multiple times in the coming months while it’s out. Plus, I need to research this new-to-me hop, Anchovy, that is said to be utilized in this
