Delicious blended imperial stout. The vanilla and cacao are rich and rewarding, perfectly hitting that sweet spot. The dates are complementary to the stout base, amplifying it without adding significant fruity sharpness. Alcohol is restrained.
Whiskey barrels are a bit subdued, although what they add is a very pleasant complement to the whole. Mouthfeel is a bit thin, but on the other hand, the alcohol bite is very reasonable for the sky high ABV.
Overall, an absolutely delightful beer.
