Subway tile. Herringbone. Beige. Skinny Jeans. Cryo Hops. Sans Serif Fonts. If it’s a trend, we will be there. We don’t want to brag but we were putting beer in cans before it was cool. We had brats on the menu at the Pub until 2019. Trends. We do trends. We do Design Trends.

Many thx to muchloveforhops3 for the can.
A - Slightly hazy light gold color with vibrant carbonation and a dense pinky finger deep layer of foam.
S - Nice spicy citrus rind, grapefruit and citrus on the nose.
T - Spicy and peppery citrus rind, citrus, some tropical fruit, with some pine bitterness on the back side.
M - Medium body with lots of prickly carbonation and leaves a cotton-like coating in the mouth.
O - Drinks more like a hopped-up Lager!

Rated 10-23-2024.This beer pours a clear pale golden color with a small head that dissipates quickly into some lacing. Aroma is mainly citrus. The taste is crisp and slightly bitter with a good malt and biscuity base. Easy drinking and flavorful. BOD 8-30-2024

12oz can from Boise Co-op. Clear golden pour, paper thin layer of fine foam. Hoppy, resinous aroma. Taste is some nice old school hoppiness, piney, resiny and pretty sticky feel.

these guys continue to be one of the best, most prolific, and most unsung operations anywhere, and i pretty much shake my head in amazement every time i interact with their products, they really are a leader in the northwest in all respects. this is a killer pale ale on the edge of being ipa, packed with an awesome mix of hops, modern and easy, and with the name and the tight and clean stylings of the beer somewhat of an intelligent commentary on where hoppy beers have gone in recent years in these parts, enjoyed on tap, i loved it. there is a lot to like here, and a surprising amount to comment on for an everyday pale ale, but thats the genius of this beer, and of these guys more generally i suppose. ipa and pale, the new west coast iterations of both, are trending blonder and lighter on the grain side, the ole "crystal malt backbone" has gone the way of the dinosaur, and being a crispy boy even in a non lager space is whats hot, a design trend rightly called out, and this is built in that way, soft golden, light and well carbonated, dry but not rushed, some grain texture but this isnt malty beer in any traditional way, and the hops are bold in the nose, big time dry hopping here, and they start early in the flavor, some cryo hops in the mix doing that, high saturation but not bitter or vegetal, interesting and fruity, nelson adding a cool white wine note, columbus doing a grapefruit thing, very compatible yet uncommon hop mix, enough bitterness to be snappy, almost lager level crispness to it, refreshing for how flavorful it is, freshness of the charts, and gone before i fully comprehend it, definitely a beer to have several of. the hops make it, but all of it is tidy and indeed on trend, cant get enough from fort george right now, this one could easily become a new go to!
edit: just as impressive the second time around, this is one of their best! gold standard level beer in this style space.

6 pack of 12 oz cans purchased from Safeway.
Dated 10/21/24..so about a fortnight old.
Pours a clear bright gold in colour with a large rocky/frothy white head.
Aroma of grapefruit mixed with pine. Nice. Unusual for an APA>
Taste is very green as some other have mentioned. Very vegetable. But I like it..green , earthy, citrus and a bit of faint pine. Finishes grapefruit.
Mouth feel is medium , perhaps even a bit flaccid..lets the beer down .
Nice beer if you like raw green hops and a bit of ambiguity. But fix the carbonation.

Clear amber brew with plenty of foam in the Stella Artois goblet. Aromatic with alfalfa and arugula. Actually it tastes like arugula, with the bitter green tang. This is quite hopped-up and flavorful. It even tastes like the fresh hop concoctions I've been drinking lately. Very resiny with all kinds of green flavors. There's a citrus finish with some grapefruit in the aftertaste. Overall this is a big mouthful in a small can. It might get tiresome after more, however. From the 12 oz can purchased at the Fort George restaurant in Astoria. Dated 09/09/24.

Canned Aug 30th. Pour is crisp and clean, lots of bubbles, thin head. Nose is subdued, catching a whiff of floral notes and some beer-y yeast background. Labeled as a "West Coast Pale Ale" it brings a prominent hop flavor and bitterness that strays into WCIPA territory. Modest 5.5% ABV, It would be a good choice for someone who just wants a hoppy ale that's satisfying. Could be an entry beer for the IPA experience.

Remember the first time you had City of Dreams & thought - I can’t like this that much because it’s a pale ale and I really only like IPAs!?
Trends is that and much more!
It doesn’t have the nose of an IPA but the taste is incredible.
Easy drinker but be careful it is still 5.5%.

Look: Light yellow and cloudy with a frothy white head that retains well as a pillow and leaves good lacing behind
Aroma: Lemons, Cara cara orange, guava, papaya, some lime, passionfruit, warm bread, and wafts of pineapple
Taste: Opens up with a quick hit of sharp lemon before guava, papaya, and passionfruit come storming in and take over. A little orange and some pineapple peek in and out as the tropical fruit develops and closes with lemon, lime, and a nice, but light bite
Mouthfeel: Full, clean, medium-high carbonation, and some felt dryness on the finish
Overall: This is an interesting and good beer. My dad hooked me up with this and I’d never even heard of it, let alone seen it, so was intrigued and it didn’t let me down. A very unique light citrus and heavy tropical fruit hop blend is present throughout and it doesn’t taste like a typical tropical fruit-forward IPA, plus still has a West Coast feel or at least tweener NE/WC one. Worth a try if you see it

FORT GEORGE BREWERY – DESIGN TRENDS IPA 5.5 abv
The cloudy brew shows a big head and golden color. This brew has different hops than many brews and it shows new tastes of radish pineapple rind, star fruit with a very prominent citrus rind flavor mixed with some veggy element that I can’t pin-point. There are low acid bite and the beer is good. The hop profile is Columbus Cryo, Nelson, Columbus and lastly Vista hops. If you want a different IPA taste give this a try.
