not the kind of beer i know and love these guys for, but its real solid, cranberry and blackberry in a striking pink pint, really nice looking brew here, clean and light and well refined, mostly clear and super bright under a high for the style white head all puffed up. i smell more generic red fruitiness than i do cranberries or blackberries specifically, but to me those arent the most aromatic fruits. instead i smell citrus, lemony from the souring, maybe some hops in this as well, its bright and fresh and lightly botanical, with mid level tang, enough to make my mouth water, some minerality too, almost salty. the flavor is good, the cranberries are right there with the lactic pucker, and mostly up front, natural and piquant, with the sweeter blackberries coming on in the middle. not a whole lot of grain here, not crazy beery, but enough wheat i suppose to keep it in that realm. nice acidity throughout but they arent wrong to serve this in a pint glass, its not too sour for drinking, great carbonation too. more sweet and concentrated berry character later, jammy and deep, delicious and still relatively quick finishing and clean. nice beer here, springy and uplifting and tart without being a gut bomb. further proof these guys can do it all...
