Fudge Sickles is a 13.5% Imperial Stout conditioned on cocoa nibs, chocolate powder and vanilla beans - it's a bottomless abyss of cold, creamy chocolate with a bite of rich barrel flavor.

Canned 7/15, not old for this beer. Pour is an opaque rich brown, minimal head. Nose is full-on chocolate with only a hint of bourbon. Feel is smooth and very, very rich. Taste is complex - almost a bit too much.: a strong chocolate at first, then the BA bourbon comes up and takes over - in a nice way. You pick up the heat of the 13.15% ABV in the finish. The sweetness becomes a bit much in the finish and some stickiness in the feel.

Overall, a good chocolate Imperial stout, enjoyed as a treat and not in your regular rotation.

On tap at Belmont Station today.

The beer pours the expected blackish brown color with good head retention and considerable sticky lacing. On the nose, I'm getting considerable dark chocolate, vanilla, milk chocolate and light bourbon. The flavor profile replicates the nose pretty closely in this sweet imperial stout. The sweetness is actually a bit much IMHO, but the flavor profile is pretty impressive otherwise. Mouthfeel is medium bodied, and actually seems a bit thin for the abv. The finish is pretty long and smooth, with considerable sweetness. Alcohol is well integrated into the flavor profile, but the sweetness detracts a bit from the beer's drinkability.

This is a good ba imperial stout, but it's not a great one. The sweetness is definitely a bit over the top in this beer. Not sure this is something I'd order again.
