Pours a golden color with a small head and aroma of citrus & tropical fruit. Taste is smooth with a slight hop bitterness. All around good beer. DOB 9-10-2024

This brew has a light fruity apple citrus flavor with a little kiwi and apricot skin thrown into the mix. There is a bit of brook plumb skin which add a bit of sour fruit to the brew and makes it interesting and refreshing.

16oz can from Boise Co-op. Clear golden pour, foamy white head. Light hoppy aroma, piney. Taste is hoppy, resinous, light pine. Kind of sticky with a mildly dry finish.

Poured into a Seattle Beer Week pint glass. Pours a medium golden amber with a fine, one finger white head with great retention and solid lacing. Aroma is pale malt and fruit hops, berries, pineapple and mixed tropical and light stone fruit. Flavor is pale malt, citrus and fruit hops, lemon, grapefruit, mixed tropical fruit, apricot and catty dankness; solid citrus rind and dank bitterness with a touch of pine resin in the finish. Medium bodied with moderate creaminess and nice mouth feel. A fruit forward IPA with some dankness. The fruit flavors are a bit muddled and the hops seem to cover the flavor spectrum. The main taste is is a little shaggy, but the finish is quite satisfying and well bittered. The can calls this a West Coast IPA, but the hop bill leans to New Zealand. It has a little traditional WC character and bitterness. I'll watch for this series again.

This version of the 2024 Focus fleet features Idaho 7 hops. Pours a clear amber with plenty of foam in the Orval chalice. Aroma is lightly grapefruit and apricot with a touch of apple. Crisp and tangy on the tongue. Rather light body with lots of spritz. Some bitterness from the start and a woody, herbaceous taste. Flavors of undefined herbal stuff, a touch of citrus, and a resiny finish. Moderate bitterness and some astringency in the aftertaste. From the 16 oz can purchased at Bridge and Tunnel Bottleshop in Astoria. Dated 08/28/2024.
