Look: Medium yellow and crystal clear on the pour, which excites a pillowy head that doesn’t settle and leaves awesome lacing behind
Aroma: Dusty sage, oranges, cedar wood, light tropical fruit, white table grapes, and some dank
Taste: Opens up with oranges and tropical fruit that includes papaya, passionfruit, and light pineapple and these quickly develop depth. Some cedar, grapes, and sage swirl around in the middle, along with some dank until tropical fruit return to close it out
Mouthfeel: Full, lightly slick, clean, medium-high carbonation, and lightly dry on the finish
Overall: I dig it. Honestly, I scored this for one reason only and it wasn’t because it was a Fort George FH beer – it was because what the heck are Krush Hops? I need to try them. It’s a different animal for sure with some Sabro-esque cedar notes, that odd sage note I get from some hops, and a lot of tropical fruit. Good enough of a beer but not full of FH character in my opinion and not sure if this hop is “up my alley.” YMMV

16-ounce can purchased at ABV Public House in Hillsboro, OR. Date stamp reads "KRUSHING IT 10/07/24". Poured into an English nonic half-pint glass. Enjoyed on 10/12/24.
Bright gold body with sudsy white foam up top. Nice lacing.
This is really good. Fresh hops erupt right out of the can with aromas of candied grapefruit, peach rings, and an interesting cedar note. Flavors match, heavy with vibrant citrus and a medley of stone fruits. Finishes with pine, more citrus, a delicate herbal licorice note, and decent bitterness. Lean malt body stays in its lane to make way for all those hops.
I like Krush hops (f.k.a. HBC 586), and even though this is not the Hawaiian Punch/Swedish Fish bomb I was hoping for, it is nuanced and full of personality and one of my favorite fresh hop beers of the 2024 season. A winner.

1sties!
1st smell had me thinking a sweet dank Magnanimous, esp as it warms.
Thankfully the flavor is its own beast. Crisp and a slight sweet but full flavor to the end.
Great beer!
