HAZY IPA collaboration with CELLARMAKER

A beer to honor friendship and pizza. Come with us and celebrate the world’s most logical food and beverage pairing with a pint of Pizza Pals.

At Fort George, we’ve been making wood fired pizza for over a decade. In San Francisco (the home of our friends at Cellarmaker brewing Company), you can get the best of almost anything. That’s what you get when you cram nearly one million people into a city that measures less than 50 square miles. You’ll find great pizza and excellent IPAs all over the Bay Area and Cellarmaker knows a lot about both.

Pizza Pals is the perfect beer for pizza: A super opaque, pale yellow hazy IPA. Dense guava and overripe fruit aroma, flavors of candy melon and orange zest with a smooth, soft bitterness and mild, comforting sweetness.

Hops: Simcoe, NZ Cascade, FS Nelson, Hollingberry Galaxy

Malts: Rahr Pilsner, Rolled Oats, Linc White Wheat, Weyermann Acidulated

Yeast: Hazy Chico

Look: A turbid, bright yellow in color with a silky-looking head that ends as a cap and leaves a nice ring of lacing behind as it settles

Aroma: Pine resin and needles, white grapefruit, Gewurtziminer grapes, lemon-lime, skunky and fruity Cannabis, floral notes, wafts of sweet onion, and bready malt. This beer smells awesome

Taste: Taste follows the nose well, opening with grapefruit and lemon-lime, along with some resinous pine. Grapes and dank hold down the middle, blending well with the citrus/pine as onion and floral notes dance around throughout. Closes with white grapes, lychee, onion, pine, grapefruit, and a nice, but light, bite

Mouthfeel: Full, lightly slick, medium-high carbonation, clean, and smooth on the finish with just a kiss of dryness

Overall: This is some tasty stuff. I’ve always enjoyed this annual collab as it’s always a tasty and unique hazy IPA that drinks like a tweener or softer WCIPA and this one is no different and another winner. The curve ball to me was noticed on the nose as Simcoe has to be used here given the aroma/taste and is typically a hop that isn’t utilized in a hazy/NEIPA. A treat to drink and highly recommended

This beer pours a hazy golden color with a medium foamy white head. The aroma is tropical fruit, mainly grapefruit. The taste is more tropical than anything else. Had with pizza last night. Very good.

Poured from a 16 ounce can dated 1-20-25 into an IPA glass at 51 degrees.

Look- Pale gold, white frothy head, very hazy, above average head retention and lacing.

Smell- Clementine, guava, pineapple, slight pine resin, between medium and high strength of scent.

Taste- Clementine, honeydew, papaya, guava, slight pine, lemongrass, medium strength of flavor.

Feel- Between medium and full body, average carbonation, moderately bitter, mildly dry finish, silky, moderately creamy, very slight astringency.

Overall- Pale gold and very hazy with above average head retention and lacing. The bouquet was a nice mix of clementine, guava, pineapple and slight pine resin. The flavor was more tropical with notes of clementine, honeydew, guava, papaya, slight pine and some lemongrass to add earthiness. Feel was between medium and full body with a silkiness. It did have slight astringency that detracted from the enjoyment. Overall this was a very solid NEIPA and with some slight modifications it could have been great.

a strong effort no doubt, really good beer, but last years version with fast fashion borderline changed my life, maybe the best hazy i had last year, so i had absurdly high hopes for this, cool they switch it up every year, and this is still a wicked hazy, but last years was just rare glory. a creamy puffy high white heads rests on top of a uniformly hazy but still a little bright looking straw to pale orange colored brew, not real dense, consistent, bubbly, looks really nice. the nose is peachy and sort of resinous, a different kind of fruit complexion, some herbal intensity, southern hemisphere almost melon character, meyer lemon, cantaloupe or french melon, taffy, floral honey, and some lightly starchy grain, a mix of malts, pleasant background for these hops, ripe apricot, mango, modern. the flavor is quite juicy and its got an up front intensity to it, takes me a few sips to kind of settle in, this is pretty bold without ever drifting into green or vegetal. bellini, papaya, and lemongrass, new school tropical, again with a little honey sweetness and some subtle grain body carrying it. some oils here, fresh cut lawn, fruity white wine, canned pineapple, and a key lime thing as well, off dry, subtle and complimentary fermentation character adding depth, and enough carbonation to make a sturdy beer feel pretty uplifting really, very moderate bitterness but some fruity hop linger to it, almost a mouthwatering recall. excellent beer overall, cool hop profile on this, and neat that its a collaboration with cellarmaker, always loved their work. not as good as last year, but very tasty! good with spicy food too...

Unlike the past, this beer stands alone as a great hazy.
Of course it is great with pizza.
The smell & taste are so welcome this time of year!

16oz can from Tavour. Pale, hazy yellow pour, fine fizzy head. Aroma is grapefruit peel and lemon rind. Taste adds a touch of pineapple to the aforementioned citrus, zesty, tangy, leaves a buzz on the palate.

On-tap in Boise; glowing soft hazy yellow with minimal head and some good lace. Melon-forward on the nose and palate, soft body, citrus and tropical fruit, vanilla and coconut even! Medium-to-light body, smooth finish, low bitterness. Enjoyable; crushable really.

Canned Dec 3rd. Pour is as advertised ... a hazy yellow-amber with a rapidly fading head. Aroma sends up both citrus notes as well as a distinct floral edge. Taste is medium dry, a tasty flavor burst with a short finish - and a bit of a new flavor at the end. Bitterness is moderate, certainly on the low edge of IPA territory. A collab with Cellarmaker in Berkelegy, CA.

A one-off beer. Not too bad but not up to the level of a typical Ft. George IPA.g
