Clear, dark brown pour, near black appearance in the glass; thick, sudsy head, khaki colored. Heavenly nose; fine blend of chocolate and caramel with toasted grains; vanilla; whisper of cinnamon. The taste adds dimension and complexity to the smell; milk chocolate with cinnamon; earthy, subdued vanilla sweetness; dark roasted and charred grain bitterness. Surprisingly light feel for the style; medium-heavy character yet seems a bit thin; boozy undercurrent of heat; dry with a mild stickiness.
This beer exudes decadent richness and lushness.

I enjoyed this one, though the pastry profile got a bit overwhelming at the end. 16oz can, inky black pour, lots of khaki foam. Loads of vanilla, chocolate, cinnamon, but that vanilla is way at the front. Creamy, sweet, sticky finish, warming. 8-10oz would be perfect. Still really good!

Poured into a Fremont small snifter. Pours a very dark mahogany brown, appearing opaque in the glass with a one finger milk chocolate head with great retention and solid lacing. Aroma of dark toasted malt, dark chocolate, cinnamon and vanilla. Flavor is dark toasted malt, cinnamon, vanilla and chocolate; lightly bitter finish. Medium bodied with light to moderate creaimess. Delivers on its name, a solid stout with cinnamon and vanilla reminiscent of churros. It also has some un-churro chocolate character too, which is a boon in my book. A dessert stout that is not overly sweet; and actually fairly dry. An interesting Cavatica variant..

Based on their popular Cavatica Imperial Stout, so it pours like one. Nose has definite vanilla aroma, not something you'd get from the base beer. Good mouthfeel and carbonation. Picking up the cinnamon now along with a touch of bitterness in the finish. ABV is a stiff 9.2%, maybe due to the added starches added to the mash. Cavatica itself is hard to improve upon, and this is no exception.
