Look: Pours a somewhat surprising (to me) bright yellow and totally hazy with a short-lived white head that lids up, leaving rings of lacing behind
Aroma: I could smell it on the pour. Tangerine, sumo mandarin, cara cara orange, diesel, fruity Cannabis, pink grapefruit, sweetened strawberries, Swedish Fish candy, pomelo, and wafts of mango
Taste: Kicks off like the nose did – intense – with a boatload of juicy and sometimes sweet citrus fruit that encompasses everything on the nose and more, but deeper. The dank components shine throughout and even the Swedish Fish note has its moment as it progresses towards the close. Malt just in play enough to hold it all together and closes with juicy citrus and fruity dank
Mouthfeel: Full, lightly slick, medium-high carbonation, and soft and slick on the finish
Overall: I dig it. This is a very interesting and good beer that caught my eye due to the name and further intrigued me with the hops bill and yeast notes on the can. A total Strata bomb too so if you don’t dig that varietal, you won’t like this and outside of being soft and not having too much of a bite, it doesn’t come across as a typical hazy. Check it out

Canned 3/17/25. Pour is a very hazy NEIPA, close to murkbomb status. Nose is floral with citrus background, dominated by grapefruit, noticeable from across the room. Taste is very dry hoppy bitterness with an abrupt finish. Hop bill is dominated by citrus: strata in multiple formats.
ABV runs a modest 6%.

MY goodness was this one good...fluffy, milky yellow pour with ample haze and a hefty white head...big time juicy-fruit sweetness and citrus on the nose, grapefruit, soft juicy palate opens up into some nice zippy bitterness reminiscent of pink grapefruit and white wine grapes. Balanced overall, with very expressive hops. Loved it.

16oz can from Boise Co-op. Hazy yellow pour, fine foamy head lasts for a bit. Light citrusy aroma, grapefruit. Taste is soft, juicy grapefruit, light zestiness at the finish. So creamy, it almost tastes like it has lactose. So smooth, so delicious.

collaboration with local barbarian, done for treefort this year, man do i love fort george, everything they do rules, and they have done a few collabs with boise breweries now, they must do very well in this market. this is great stuff, a serious expression of strata, smartly designed, and i like it being both dry hoppy and aromatic and also somewhat bitter at the end, herbal and fresh and hop driven the whole way, a bit of body to it but not heavy, starchy with some rice in the grain bill, a clever build to this, no surprise with these two breweries, i havent actually loved the hoppy stuff from barbarian, but this is excellent. pale in color, some decent haze here, short white head but fizzy the whole time its in my glass. the nose shows a little grainy pils malt, earthy and crackery, out of the way but not invisible, which is a nice place for malt to be in this style, and its light in flavor without being light in body, good structure to this. the hops are intense, hop products make it start early, zested lime with a little of its pith, white grapefruit, coconut flesh, green table grape, white currant, fruity but also botanical, weedy, lemony, perhaps a tad more pungent in the nose than in the flavor, but its real high saturation in the taste too, maybe just a little less interesting than it smells, less of the white wine and floral thing, more green and herbal, summery with hay and straw and kiwi fruit, green melon, lots of nuance to this, oily and long on the palate, rather bitter too, juicy and bitter do not usually go together in the same beer, but here we are. this is bold enough to maybe turn some people off, but the mouthfeel is indeed soft, and i think this stands out as rather different, even if i dont want to drink it all night its quite cool, packed with strata, a bomb really, but a cool showcase of that varietal and a beer with a ton of personality and uniqueness in a samey style space. high effort, high quality, lots of cool beers at treefort this year in the alefort tent!
