Stingray Soul is one of a two-part collaboration brew with Uprise Brewing Co. for Grainmaker Fest 2025 with Linc Malt’s Stingray Wheat. Stingray Soul is a smooth, flavorful West Coast IPA.
Hops do a lot of talking in the IPA world, but if you ask a brewer about ingredients – they’ll tell you grains speak as loudly as hops in the final product. Linc Malt & Cold Stream Malt’s Grainmaker Fest celebrates the backbone of great beer: the grains.
Stingray Wheat builds up the body and contributes to the soft, smooth mouthfeel of Stingray Soul.
Brewer's Notes
Hops: Simcoe, Krush Cryo, Crosby Comet, Columbus Cryo, Citra CO2 Extract, Simcoe Dynaboost
Malt: Linc Malt Stingray Wheat, Linc Steffi Pils, Linc Buzz Pale, Weyermann Acidulated

Poured from a 16 ounce can dated 7-28-25 into a tulip glass at 49 degrees.
Look- Straw, mildly hazy, white creamy head, average head retention and lacing.
Smell- Pine resin, dank, grapefruit, between weak and medium strength of scent.
Taste- Grapefruit, pine, between weak and medium strength of flavor.
Feel- Medium body, average carbonation, highly bitter, highly creamy, mildly mouth warming, mildly dry finish, soft.
Overall- An average WC IPA. It had great appearance and feel characteristics. The aroma and flavor were simple and relatively weak in intensity. Not a bad beer, but somewhat disappointing compared to most beers put out by this brewery.
