Buddha or Bodhi? Arrived with a mostly hazy appearance. The color was an amber to red hue with a light orange hue around the edges. A soft head that last well but did not last through the whole tasting
The nose is soft overall but noticeable caramel with more of a sweeter aroma. Some noticeable yeasty notes but not overbearing. Some lighter tropical fruit notes as well as a hint of white pepper. A light hoppy aroma with some citrus and floral notes to boot.
The taste is more malt oriented compared to the more balanced aroma. Caramel really shines with some toffee and nutty flavors. Some DMS flavors that as warms become more noticeable. The hops are there but more of a bittering flavor and limited earthy and floral finishing hop. The yeast is cleaner than the nose but still has some minor esters and peppery notes in the finish. Also a off sudsy finish that is a deterrent to me.
The body is moderate with a higher carbonation that helps enhance the bitterness. There is a slickness that reminds me more of DMS. Very easy to drink. Overall very nice caramel, easy drinking beer with some minor flaws but good.
