Pours what appears to be a cola color but once held to the light reveals a ruby red color. There was a slight off white head which leaves a little lace. The aroma was of bourbon with a slight hop bite to it and a roasted malt. The taste has a roasted malt backbone which mid way through gives way to a pick nice bourbon taste with hints of oak and vanilla. The bourbon taste is smooth and dominates. The mouthfeel is moderate and a little slick. Overall it is a very good beer intersting take and very smooth.

Angel's share enjoyed at quigley's 7/20/11. served in nip glass about 8 oz because law requires smaller portions for higher proof beer. 13% ABV but previous batches have been higher. This is their Irish Stout aged in Woodford Reserve barrel for 3 months. Procedes go to a college scholarship for local high schoolers made to honor a high school student/employee of Quigley's who died in a boating accident.
A: Looks black in the glass but when held to the light it is ruby red. Off white head with shimmering bubbles of carbonation that disapates quickly leaving no lacing high ABV to blame here.
S: Roasted malt, dry hops, oak, bourbon, vanilla and alcohol.
T: Roasted malt, vanilla, alcohol, some hops, burbon body.
M: Well carbonated and smooth, well aged.
D: High.
