A light cloudy almost orange juice color pour with just a very slight white head. Subtle smell, and a strong hefeweizen clovey, spiced taste. Spicy up front, with a hearty wheatiness in the finish. A good hearty, flavorful hefeweizen, even though its not one of my favorite styles.

Appearance: Murky yellow-brown in color, with a large, persistent white head, moderate carbonation, and thick glass-coating lace.
Aroma; Strong notes of cloves, with lesser notes of ripe bananas, bready, slightly earthy yeast notes, and tart wheat malt.
Taste; Tart wheat malt at the open, almost sour, with a little cloves as the taste progresses. Finishes with a mild, lingering note of medicinal bitterness.
Mouth feel: Smooth and fairly full, with a bit of aggressive carbonation.
Drinkability/notes: Classic example of the style, well-made.
Sampled on tap at Uncle Billy's on October 13th, 2007.

A - Poured with no head. Thick hazy yellow hefe. Thin lace.
S - Fruity with the emphasis on banana - only a slight hint of clove or spiciness. Moderate aroma.
T - Clove and spiciness come through in the taste. Mild banana follows closely along with some fruity esters. Hint of a spicy hop in the finish.
M - Full bodied hefe. Low to mid range carbonation.
D - Very drinkable. Good beer and a cool place with tasty bar-b-q. I would recommend it to anyone.

Showed up cloudy, nice light head and with out any fruit in it... like it should be. The aroma was very bluntly put, great. Banana's & cloves which is to be expected but a nice sweetness is there. Great mouthfeel and stupidly drinkable. Taste is crisp, light and somewhat sweet. You can feel the flavor on your tounge and let your imagination take over. This may be out to take down the great Live Oak Hefe here in Austin. This is very good and I can't wait to have it again.
