Pours damn near black, with faint muddy chocolate tones. Smell is semi rich, caramel and chocolatelyness with a belgium yeasty profile and hints of spices and clove. Taste is similar, spiced, yeasy, clovey, with perhaps a touch of chalky cocoa. Great, rich mouthfeel. Although far from my favorite style, this is a good quality beer that I can still appreciate. Reminds me a little of New Belgiums Abbey.
