the bartender described it as a smoked amber. pour was nice. with a nose of stale apple and smoke. palate was a cereal hidden by smoked malt. wouldn't say it was a beer hidden in a excessive smoked malt. has a malt fruit besides but then again. marzen are not smoked. so it was interesting.

Stop, Drop & Roll One is a smoked märzen.
The beer pours a milky yellow color with a white head. The aroma is very heavy on the smoke with not too much else, maybe a little bit of non-smoked malt. The flavor is very heavy on the meaty smoke with just a bit of caramel and toffee malt hidden in the background. Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation. A very interesting beer that I think would go great with the brewpub's smoked brisket.
