The brewery calls this beer "A farmhouse wheat, brewed with Saison yeast". Perhaps a new style, Sai-Wheat ? I just listed it as a Saison, please correct if necessary.
Served in straight pint glass. Poured a slightly hazy, golden-orange color with about an inch of slightly off-white head that that had moderate retention and minimal lacing.
The aroma was fairly typical for a Saison, yeasty, spicy, earthy. The wheat added some grassiness and a bit more earthiness than is typical. The flavor profile fits that description as well, with the yeast perhaps being a bit stronger on the tongue.
The body was decent, perhaps a bit thin and not as crisp as some. Drinkability was nice, but not spectacular, I got a bit bored after a couple in a row.
Overall, a decent little beer, worth trying if you see it.
